CHAPTER 1 PART 2

"Y/n, Y/n..... Y/NNN!" Startled as I woke up, my hair was messy and my face had a bit of saliva dripping from my mouth. I wiped it away as I turned to a friend who's also my co-worker. I realized immediately as I looked at the work clock.

"It's already 8pm and we clock out at 5. I finished my work today, how bout ya?" She sighed as she looked over at my desk, seeing the files and documents. I can't believe I slept, I'm gonna need to finish this by tomorrow so my damn boss doesn't bother me anymore. "You go ahead, I'll just tidy things up here..." I said groggily before letting myself stretch the tiredness out. My co-worker nodded and left after clocking out as I was left alone in the office. "Alright! Don't overexert yourself." I looked over to her as she exited the door. Those words, I remembered my mother in my dream as I quickly shook my head, getting a hold of myself.

"Jeez..What was that?" I rubbed my eyes as I stood up after taking the cup from my cubicle and went ahead to the coffee station. I walked down the empty corridors as my head remained in thought. Why did I dream about that now out of all the times I could've? "I wanna go home sooo baddd~!" I mumbled to myself as I got to the cafeteria. As expected, it was empty but I wondered where the guards were. I guess they finished surveillance and went back to the gate. As I poured newly brewed coffee into my cup, I suddenly heard a continuous tapping noise at the end of the hall. I peeked from the cafeteria walls to see who it was but no one was seen. That's strange? Hopefully, it was just the guards.

Eventually, the tapping stopped after disregarding it, acting like it didn't scare the shit out of me as I walked holding my coffee, shaking. I got back to my desk and settled down to finish till I noticed that one of my document papers was missing. "What?" I sighed in exhaustion as I searched high and low for the paper. Maybe it flew? That was one of the articles for the report too.. "I'll just wing it! It's just one paper." I took a large gulp of my coffee before going straight at it. I went ahead and rearranged the documents and separated them by order. I sighed before looking at the clock, my eyebags were begging me to stop but I had to go all out on this one. I stopped and opened my files, "Police investigate murders near an apartment in Harajuku. Two men were found with multiple gunshot wounds and bruises, it was said that they were beaten up first before getting shot. The two men were included in the mass drug production that was executed one month ago. They were sentenced in prison but later found out that both escaped taking advantage of the security fluctuating at the time. The suspect is still unknown due to the lack of cameras and evidence."
