You shifted your weight from one foot to the other, clutching your wand tighter in your hand, as the snow fell around you heavily, almost coating your black jacket into a shade of white.
Ominis sighed next to you, his expression solemn as he just stared ahead. You could feel the anger simmering slowly under his skin, but he kept himself quiet in attempt to be civil and supportive.
"I will be fine, I promise" you reassured him. Grabbing his hand in yours in hopes to bring his blazing gaze towards you, praying that he would show you a hint of a smile before you went inside.
"Right ... Just like how you came out of the first trial last week all beaten up and bloodied. I'm quite sure you will be splendidly fine!" each syllabus dropped with sarcasm that was charged with obvious worry.
"I just missed up at the end because I didn't bring enough potions with me, but this time I'm ready. See?" You held out your bag to him and jiggled it slightly so he can hear the clanking of the vials.
It has been two weeks since school started. And surprisingly enough, no word from your grandfather has reached you yet. And so you took the opportunity to start on the trials before fear decided to start on you.
The first trial was as scary as you had anticipated it to be, even though Ominis and Professor Fig accompanied you until they couldn't.
He was so worried and frustrated as he tried his best to master an argument that he knew was not his for the win.
His exasperated sighs the whole way here was no different than the last time.
He turned his eyes towards the pack, monitoring the contents of the bag as he took it from your hand, inspecting it like the over protective man he was. His eyes seemed to soften momentarily before he resumed the ghostly look he held for the last hour.
"When I come back, I will teach you how to fly a broom! How about that?" You asked excitedly. hoping that would distract him from the looming castle that stood in front of the both of you.
You heard a low grumble followed by a growl that was asserting his annoyance at your failed attempt. You scratched the side of your cheek nervously, averting your eyes slightly when he glared at you.
"Taia, honestly! What type of person do you take me for?" He sighed through gritted teeth before he yanked you forward, and slammed his lips on the cold trembling ones of yours.
You felt the warmth seep into your chilled bones slowly, warming your insides like a tea pot that was starting to boil over the stove with screeching noises.
You wrapped your hands around his waist melting into him, wishing upon Merlin himself that you could fuse your bodies together in this instant. the snow fell around you both heavily, almost simmering away at the contact with the heat that started to radiate brightly around the two of you.
He pushed his lips harder breaking apart the tight grip you had on yours as he pushed his tongue in, marveling at the taste he so loved to soak himself into.
