Fred's pov
The common room was filled with excitement. George and I were at the center of it carrying Harry high on our shoulders. The room loud with cheers as Harry held up the large golden egg.
"Should I open it?" He asked above the crowd. More cheers erupted from the crowd of Gryffindors.
A loud annoying scream filled the room. George and I dropped Harry immediately in order to cover our ears. Harry hurried to close the egg. The common room was silent everyone was recovering from the noise. Harry and Ron went off to talk immediately after. Clearing the air on their previous quarrel.
I found myself moving to the edge of the room against wall with George. Music finally began to play. My eyes kept drifting to Isadora. She was clapping to hype up Seamus while he stood in a group doing the Irish jig. She had a warmth to her smile, the kind that made my chest tighten. What was happening to me.
Angelina brushed past me, he perfume filling my nose as she leaned against the wall next to me. "You oddly quiet tonight. Usually you're at the center of all the fun." She said playfully nudging me.
"I'm just taking it all in tonight." I said glancing at her briefly before my eyes went back to Isadora.
Angelina followed my gaze. She cleared her throat. "You two have been hanging out a lot more lately." She said. My brows furrowed but before I could respond a voice cut through the room.
"Well, if it isn't Isadora. Attention seeking as per usual." Lavender said her voice was sugary sweet with an edge of malice.
Isadora's smile wash away. Her body seemed to tense up as she turned to face her. My fist tightened, I straighten my body ready to step in but Isadora had responded.
"What is your problem Lavender?" She said venom dripping from her voice. "Are you this obsessed with me? You're the only attention seeker here." She finished earning a laugh from half the common room.
Lavender turned red. She looked shocked as if she hadn't expected Isadora to actually respond. She scoffed muttering words under her breath before storming off.
I took the opportunity to cross the room and speak to Isadora. "You alright?" I asked
Her eyes lit up. "Yeah, I'm fine." She said, her voice suggesting otherwise.
"You handled that well." I said offering her a reassuring smile.
"Thanks, I'm used to her by now." She said smiling.
We both got quiet for a moment. Just looking into each other's eyes. Even though the room was filled with so many people it felt like it was just us for a moment.
"Do you want to get out of here?" I asked.
She smiled "Sure"

After leaving the party Isadora and I had just been walking in comfortable silence. I hadn't really thought this through I just knew that I wanted to be alone with her. I put my hands in my pockets for comfort, but I felt something. That's when an idea sparked into my head.
"Have you ever been on one of our pranking missions?" I asked grinning.
Isadora raised an eyebrow. "Pranking? You and George's infamous pranks?" She asked half intrigued half joking. "What are you up to Fred?"
I flash her a grin excitement taking over. "What if I told you I had something in mind that would liven up the night?"
Isadora bit her lip, laughing softly. "I'm not sure if I should be excited or worried."
"Oh, definitely excited." I said turning to face her. "Come on, just one quick prank. Totally harmless."
She hesitated for a moment before looking at my face. A smile spread across hers. "Alright, fine whats the plan."
My grin widened at I led her to the charms classroom. Our adrenaline was already pumping. "So you know how Professor Flitwick is always over locking his door. Like we're just dying to steal his magic books."
Isadora snorted. "Yeah"
"Well." I said stopping in front of a painting near his class. "George and I may or may not have found a secret entrance to his class." I smirked
"Fred!" Isadora gasped half amused half shocked. "You're going to get us expelled."
"Not if we don't get caught." I winked. "Besides we're not here to steal anything. Just a little artistic redesigning."
"Artistic redesigning?" She questioned.
I pulled out a small piece of glowing green chalk from my pocket. "We'll just leave him a little something on his blackboard. A little morning masterpiece."
Isadora coughed noticing the rank smell of chalk. "What is that, and why does it have that smell?"
I laughed. "It's dungbomb chalk. George and I have been experimenting with it."
"You're ridiculous, but I'm in" she said, I smiled.
I pushed the painting out of the way opening up a tunnel passage. We made our way through. We exited from a seat way in the back of the class that no one ever uses. We made our way to the front of his classroom to the blackboard. "Alright you start on that side I'll handle this one."
She grinned and grabbed a piece of chalk and started to sketch. "What are we even drawing?"
I leaned in closer to her. I was already scribbling. "Just something to make him question his life choices. Maybe a dragon or a dinosaur. He's old enough to appreciate both."
Isadora laughed as she started adding things do the board. "How is it you and George manage to get away with things like this most of the time?"
I shrugged. "I guess it's just part of the thrill. Half the time people are so busy laughing, they don't even want us to get caught.
We worked in comfortable silence for a few minutes. The only sound in the classroom was the scratching of the board. I felt like I was having more fun then I usually do on missions like these.
"You know it's kind of fun doing this with you. It's usually just George, Lee, and I. This is fun though, you've got a great sense of humor."
"Thanks, I didn't think pranking was my thing, but I see why you enjoy it so much." She smiled softly
"It's not just about the pranking. It's about who you do it with." I said stepping back to view our artwork. A cross the board there was a poorly drawn dragon. We both looked at it and proceeded to laugh. "Well we're wizards not artist."
"Clearly" she said in between laughs.
"We should probably head back. This chalk is set to blow in the morning, and we don't wanna get caught." I said grabbing her hand and rushing to the exit.
A shocked amused expression was on her face. "Fred! You said it was harmless." She said as I dragged her out.
"It will just stink up the place." I said laughing
