He doesn't get along with his father

You were lying in bed reading a novel when you heard Christian's phone beep . You looked over to see who had texted him not because you didn't trust him . You trusted him with your life but you did it out of curiosity. To your surprise you saw it was his father, inviting you over for dinner. Knowing Christian he would dismiss his father's invitation. 
                          
They never seemed to see eye to eye because Christian wanted to pursue a career in the Arts whilst his dad wanted him to do Law . You decided to reply to the text yourself saying you'd be there . Hearing footsteps heading for your room and knowing they belonged to Christian you quickly placed his phone on his bed side table and got back to your reading. He walked in and eyed you suspiciously. You gave him an innocent smile and he let out a chuckle coming to join you on the bed . "Babe you're just too adorable," he said whilst giving you a peck on the cheek . "Why thank you dear," you replied trying to imitate a British accent. He fell into a fit of laughter. When he had finally caught his breath you decided to tell him about the dinner. 
                          
"Hey babe we're going to dinner." You quickly blurted out before you chickened out. " Ah are you Ms Y/L/N asking me out? " He teased trying to get you wrapped up . You shook your head and dismissed his immature act and instead said " We have to be there by six so start getting ready" with that said you rushed to the bathroom in order to use it first before Christian could protest.

                          
Before you could lock the door you heard him groan . He hated having to wait for you whilst you used the bathroom because apparently you took a lifetime.

You parked the the car before the William's household. You looked over to the side and saw the confusion written all over your cute boyfriends face. " Uh babe why are we at my parents house I thought we were going to dinner, don't tell me I spent an hour waiting for you and 45 minutes getting all dressed up just to live the next couple of hours with my overbearing obnoxious father, like really Y/N." You cut him off before he got to far " Love come on just this once . You're forever ignoring him neither of you are getting any younger you have to work this out." 
                          
He seemed to let your words sink before he replied "Ok fine I'll try but only for you and mom" You smiled in glee at your accomplishment . "Thanks babe" you said before reaching over and kissing him passionately. 
                          
You both got out of the car . You grabbed onto his hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze. You walked up to the porch and he rang the doorbell. When the door opened you were met face to face with Mr and Mrs Williams. 

                          
Upon seeing you she reached out and brought you into a warm hug , whilst Christian and his dad shook hands awkwardly . You all made your way to the living room . As soon as Christian set eyes on the photo album he knew this was one of the 'embarrassing baby picture dilemma' you sent a smirk his way . Letting him know you were going to use one of the stories yet to be told as bribery later on. You sat next to his mom giving him no choice but to sit next to his dad. You looked through the pictures and came across one of six year old Christian standing next to his dad holding a fish. They seemed so happy . 
                          
"Hey I remember that day" they both said in unison and then letting out a nervous chuckle . You gave Mrs Williams a knowing look and then offered to help her cook dinner as an excuse to leave the two Williams gentlemen alone. You both stood up and headed for the kitchen . Leaving them to catch up. When you and Mrs Williams peaked through the door . You saw them with their heads thrown back in hysterical laughter. Deciding not to interrupt Mrs Williams offered to show you Christians room.
                          
Christian was eternally grateful for your persistence that day.
