I uploaded this chapter late than I intended to. School had been more hectic than ever but FINALLY, IT'S HERE!

Enjoy my lovelies! Thank you for waiting!

Now this was a trip down memory lane.

Caitlyn holds her legs closer to her chest while sitting on the sand, her chin resting on her knees.

The sand feels cold during this winter.

It's peaceful to look at the waves and see the sun barely show itself and its typical afternoon hues across the sky as gray clouds fully cover them.

What kept her grounded the most was Vi beside her.

They let their shoulders touch as they stared adoringly along the horizon where the sky met the sea.

There's a reason why Vi loved the beaches.

Tranquility for her can be in many ways and forms. The scenery alone is one thing she wouldn't miss out on to indulge in the sight alone for hours just to be away from the disturbance of the world.

That's what she told Caitlyn weeks ago when everything was still normal.

And they still are.

Except now, it's different.

A new layer in their lives is now touched upon.

There's something new, like a fresh page in a book that hasn't been written until Caitlyn makes her choice to give meaning to the page and continue the entry.

"You haven't been sleeping, aren't you?" Vi starts, her legs crossed while propping her arms from behind as support while sitting up, looking at her while the wind gently sways the strands of her hair.

Caitlyn swallows the courage to give her the same look, letting her hand be familiar once more with the feel of her jaw to trail her thumb across her cheek.

"Tell that to yourself, handsome..." she says, trailing her eyes along the lines under Vi's own.

The moment was calm.

Any more weight that came from the revelation seemingly had lessened the load when they slowly went back to how they'd always been.

"Sorry." Vi apologized, her cheek bumping slightly against Caitlyn's palm when she gave her a lop-sided smile.

"Don't be," she reassured her, keeping her eyes focused. "You do look restless. You should've slept..."

Vi nodded at the advice, rubbing her eyelids all the same.

"Just thoughts of you kept me up all night. I couldn't help it even if I tried. And then you called me this morning and I don't want to mess this up. I didn't expect us to talk now, you know..?"

She felt undeserving to be here as she explained.

Vi being mindful of her state and yet seeing her downplay her self-worth should humble all the people Caitlyn met in Piltover alone.

I didn't expect it either, Caitlyn wants to say that only her smile can express.

But you love me, her mind heals her from any more doubt.

"Cait, I don't even deserve this chance too soon. Hell—" Vi scoffs before inhaling a quiet hiss through her teeth. "I don't even deserve a chance at all. I know I don't deserve to be here this quick. After what happened with Sarah, the pictures, the ring—"
