(After Shadow left and Sonic and Amy returned from the beach)
I just said something I thought I'd never say.
I said I didn't need to run.
In front of the entire gang.
You should've seen their faces. Even Amy looked shocked. Honestly, I was even shocked by what came out of my mouth.
We were just talking at Amy's house and watching a movie when Tails elbowed me. Apparently Sticks was teasing Amy about our relationship. I had listened into their conversation. Just to make sure it wasn't something harsh.
Sticks asked Amy if she thought there was anything I loved more then her. I expected her to say no, because that's what I thought.
But then she said yes! I was flabbergasted! I love her more then anything, literally! I'd go without eating or sleeping for her! I'd literally fast for her! But she'd never need me to do that...
Well, Sticks was also shocked. Because she asked her what.
Then Amy said that I probably loved running and speed more then her. I gasped and then I got involved. I said loudly, completely interrupting the the movie.
"I don't need to run! Speed is so overrated!"
Amy just blinked at me and Sticks dropped her jaw. I had covered my mouth and turned to see Tails and Knuckles. The popcorn Knuckles had in his mouth fell out into his lap.
And Tails just stared, it didn't even look like he was breathing!
Was it that big a shock?
Speed and running used to be a life, when I was like 15 and 17, but it's not been as important as I've gotten older. It's still important, but not as much as she is.
I suppose it made Amy really happy to hear that because she gave me a big hug after that.
I think I'm pretty good at this boyfriend thing!
