Chapter 22: Change of mind

                                    

                                          
 Ace’s shoulder was injured. He had taken the arrow earlier for the prince.
 He could have avoided it but the sudden intruder startled them. Thankfully, it was just a scratch. He quickly covered the injured shoulder. 


Lili was in a trance as she fantasized about the pair's relationship, when the delicate beauty dressed and left the bath, heading towards her.


"Kitten, make sure to service our crown prince well. I'll hit you up later~" He waved and walked away while saying this.


Lili turned beet red. Gorgeous, you've got this all wrong. How can you be flirting in front of your lover?! …


Lian yu sat at the edge of the bath, sizing up the bug-eyed intruder with narrowed eyes. He was somewhat irritated as she ogled Ace with those puppy-dog eyes.
 She’s really shameless! One Nick Wilson is not enough, and now she’s eyeing his best friend! 
Ace is the leader of his shadow guards. They grew up together so they became best buddys as well. 


This was his fiance, yet she dared to blatantly eye other men! Was she either brainless or simply that lecherous? And she’s still staring at Ace’s back!


"Seen enough yet?"


Lili swallowed hard, hastily shaking her head then hastily nodding instead. 


Lian yu narrowed his eyes. "You still haven't had enough?"


"I've had enough, really!" Lili retreated while nodding furiously. 
Like hell she didn't want live anymore! This Prince's possessiveness was too damn scary! She’s too scared she’ll be beaten. She’s not his match at all!


"Really?" Lian yu looked at her in askance. His lazy voice was acutely provocative. 
"Then tell me… What did you see?"


"Errrr…" Lili turned her head robotically. She coughed twice and said sincerely, "I didn't see anything, really." 


“ Are you two, uh, lovers?"


"…" Lian yu scowled. Lovers! She mistook them for lovers?


"Ah—" Lili yelped as she was pushed down by Lian yu who looked mad enough to beat her. Her facial muscles locked again.


Was it something she said? He looked pissed enough to 'beat' me! It must be because she'd ferret out his affairs with the beautiful shadow guard.


"I was wrong, Prince, I was wrong! I shouldn't haven't mentioned your affair. I swear, I swear I won't tell anyone else, so please have mercy!"


Lili was ready to concede, but Lian yu retorted brusquely, 
"You can see for yourself at the wedding night!"


Lili demurred, "Your highness, you said you wouldn’t touch me! You are such a great man, how can you lay your majestic hands on  someone like me? Ha ha ha"


“It seems I’ve changed my mind. Even though you’re an ugly, despicable, smelly, and shameless woman, you’re not that bad” Lian yu said, teasing her.
 

"Cough, well, Is this how you’re saying I’m not bad after saying all that? I’m not convinced at all…"
