The lights in the stadium were like a thousand small suns, bright enough to turn night into day, hot enough to melt the crowd into a sea of sweaty, screaming love. The fans were chanting his name in unison—"Jungkook! Jungkook!"—over and over until it no longer sounded like his name but just noise, a relentless mantra that reverberated through his chest, along with the deep thud of the bassline. Jungkook smiled, gave a small wave, and blew a kiss to the crowd.

The love was always there, undeniably, insurmountably present, but it often felt like a distant echo in his ears, unable to bridge the growing chasm inside his heart.

They were at the final stop of their world tour, the culmination of years of hard work, rehearsals that bled into late nights, choreography that took a toll on their bodies, and music that came from their souls. The rest of the members were smiling, their faces radiating joy. Jungkook too tried to keep the curve on his lips, hiding behind the mask that the stage demanded, but his muscles were tired, and lately, his soul had been even more exhausted.

"Thank you so much!" Namjoon shouted, his deep voice resonating through the stadium as the translator quickly relayed his message to the international fans. "We wouldn't be here without you. You all mean the world to us!"

"Yeah!" Taehyung added, his deep voice filled with excitement. "You guys are the reason we keep going. We love you all!"

Jungkook watched his hyungs speak, clapping alongside them, the sound echoing in his ears. He knew they meant every word, and he did too, but his voice felt caught somewhere in his throat, stuck beneath a heaviness that seemed impossible to lift. He kept clapping, nodding along, but he couldn't feel his hands. It was like his body was acting on autopilot, a puppet moved by strings someone else controlled.

The concert ended, and they left the stage, a mix of adrenaline and exhaustion pushing them towards their waiting room. The members chattered excitedly about the performance, about how incredible the energy was, how much they could feel the fans' love. Jungkook stayed near the back, just out of the spotlight of their conversation, letting their words blend into background noise.

When they finally made it to the waiting room, everyone plopped down onto the couches, the room filled with sighs of relief. Yoongi leaned back, closing his eyes, while Jin reached for a water bottle, tossing one to Jungkook. He caught it without thinking, offering a small smile in thanks.

"Jungkookie, how are you holding up?" Hoseok asked, his eyes filled with concern. "You were amazing out there, as always."

Jungkook nodded, unscrewing the cap of the water bottle and taking a sip. "Thanks, hyung. I'm okay. Just a little tired."

Hoseok gave him a look, one that lingered a moment too long, like he wanted to say more but didn't. Instead, he nodded and gave Jungkook's shoulder a light squeeze before moving on to talk to Jimin about some small mistake they almost made during one of the dance breaks.
