Chapter-1

The warm sunlight filtered through the trees at Professor Oak's summer camp, casting a golden hue over the large group of excited children. Pokémon roamed freely, adding to the already buzzing energy in the air. Among the campers was a young boy with messy black hair, a bright smile, and a red cap slightly too big for his head. On his shoulder sat a small yellow Pokémon, its cheeks sparking faintly-Pichu.

Ash Ketchum was brimming with excitement. This was his first time at the camp, and he couldn't wait to meet more Pokémon and make new friends. Pichu, always by his side, mirrored his energy, letting out excited squeaks as it looked around at all the new sights.

"Look at all these Pokémon, Pichu!" Ash exclaimed, his eyes wide with wonder. "One day, we're gonna have a team like this, and we'll be the best trainers ever!"

"Pichuuuu!" Pichu responded with equal enthusiasm, rubbing its tiny cheek against Ash's.

But while Ash and Pichu were full of energy and confidence, a young girl standing off to the side felt anything but. Serena, a quiet and shy girl from the Kalos region, had come to the camp because her mother had insisted. She had been nervous about attending, unsure of herself in this new place, surrounded by strangers.

Serena adjusted her sunhat nervously, her eyes darting between the other campers who already seemed to be making friends and forming groups. She tugged at the hem of her dress, her fingers fidgeting as she hesitated to approach anyone. Her heart raced with anxiety, a part of her wishing she could just go back home where things were familiar and safe.

She didn't know anyone here. What if no one liked her? What if she couldn't keep up with the others?

Just as Serena was sinking deeper into her nervous thoughts, Professor Oak's voice echoed across the campgrounds, announcing a treasure hunt in the nearby woods. The children were encouraged to form teams and search for hidden items, working together to find the most treasures.

Serena hesitated at the edge of the group as the campers began pairing up and heading into the forest. She was too shy to ask anyone to join them, and before she knew it, the group had already started moving without her. Not wanting to be left behind, she quickly followed the others, keeping her distance, hoping that somehow she'd blend in.

The forest was beautiful, with tall trees and the sound of Pokémon in the distance, but to Serena, it felt overwhelming. She kept her eyes on the ground, trying not to trip, too nervous to call out or ask for help. As the group ventured deeper into the woods, she fell further and further behind until she realized she couldn't see the other kids anymore.

Panic started to well up in her chest. She quickened her pace, hoping to catch up, but in her haste, she tripped over a tree root and fell hard to the ground. Pain shot through her knees as they scraped against the rough forest floor. Serena gasped, her eyes filling with tears as she looked down at her scratched knees, small drops of blood already staining her dress.

Her breath hitched as she tried to hold back her tears, her throat tight with fear. She was hurt, she was alone, and she was lost.

"I... I just want to go home..." Serena whispered, her voice trembling. She wiped her eyes, but the tears kept coming.

Just as she was about to break down completely, a soft rustling caught her attention. Through her tear-blurred vision, she saw a boy and a small Pokémon approaching her. It was Ash and his Pichu.

Ash had been exploring with his group when he'd heard a faint sound of crying. His natural curiosity led him to investigate, and when he saw the small figure sitting on the ground, hurt and scared, he ran over without hesitation.
