Static hesitantly walked into the school. Freshman year. At Scazaroo High School. He flicked his tail nervously as he held his binder against his chest. His dark black hair was long, down to his chest and hanging over his binder. The binder had his name on it. 'Static. 127.' His yellow eyes darted around as he walked down the hall.

"Static! Hey man!" Called out Jax as he headed towards Static. Jax was a big, black cobra, with a red-tipped tail and hood. Jax was twice the size of Static, but Static was a considerably small snake anyways. He played claw-ball all year long last year and he was a year older than Static himself.

"There's the little man!" Jax said as he pulled Static into a hug. He flared his hood and captured Static in his embrace completely. Static squirmed a bit and gently hugged him back. "Hey J. . ."

Jax wriggled and squished Static before letting go. "You ready for high school little man? Hm?" Jax teased as he ruffled Static's hair. "Not really. . . I barely passed English last year because my handwriting is bad. . ." Static grumbled.

"Oh. But aren't you in 11th-grade science already? That's good right?" Jax asked, a bit confused. "Yeah it's fine but. . ."

"Are you nervous? You got bullied last year yeah? Jax asked as he started to lead Static down the hall.

"Yeah. . ." Static confirmed as they headed to the cafeteria for breakfast.

"Hey, if anyone touches you just tell me alright? I'll beat the scales off em." Jax said as he gave Static's maw a little squeeze. "Don't you worry your pretty little snout about a thing. High school is gonna be awesome."

Static blushed a little as the older cobra grabbed his maw. He flicked his tongue as they entered the lunch room. The sweet smell of roasted rat and mashed aloe vera. "Is that breakfast?" Static asked.

"Nah. That's lunch. Breakfast is mat cakes." Jax said as they headed into the line.

"Mat cakes! Really?"

THUD!

Static yelped as he woke up on the floor. He looked up at his bed, which he had rolled off of in his sleep. He was sleeping so soundly after not sleeping properly in days.

"Ugh. . ." Static rubbed his head and stood up. He walked over to his window and opened the curtains to see it was pitch black outside.

He looked down at what was below his window. The royal garden. It was behind the palace and always had the greenest grass and the most beautiful flowers and trees.

Static realized he had never been in the garden during his stay at the palace. He smiled and flicked his tongue as he turned to throw on his jacket.

He grabbed it off the coat hanger and slithered down the halls. He quietly went out the front door.

He looped around the palace to the back where the garden was. Static hopped over a bush (Or rather clumsily jumped onto it) and into the beautiful garden. He slithered through the garden past the beautiful flowers. All colors, all types. Petinuas, roses, lilies, and everything else. There were hundreds of fruit trees, bananas, apples, peaches, everything.

The fruit in the garden tasted amazing, and the flowers smelt even more beautiful than they looked.

Static wandered the garden like a little kid in a candy store.

"Woooww. . ." He was awed as he stared at a tree in the center of the garden. It had beautiful glowing fruits that he couldn't reach.

"I wish Mama was here to see this. . . Or J. . . Oh J. . ." Static mumbled to himself as he stared at the amazing tree. He then blushed at the thought of Jax. His

Static flicked his tongue and he could smell something. It smelled rotten. He turned his head and flicked his tonuge again. He followed after the smell.

He wandred through the garden, flicking his tongue as he walked. Soon he found small blue bulbs sticking out from the ground. He flicked his tounge. They smelled foul and rotten. His face contorted with disgust.

He tapped a bulb with his foot claws. Suddenly the bulb sprung up along with the others. Out popped a creature, it was blue in color like the crawlers, it had one large, green eye on its face and I sideways opening mouth. It uprooted from the ground, it's glowing green roots supported the thing so it could walk. It had a large bulging head where the eye was, then it got tinner where the mouth was, and then it got even thinner for the body before plumping out again in a cluster of roots.

One of them let out a small shriek, the largest one. The others started to form a circle around Static. He reached to cock his glove only to his horror, he wasn't wearing the portal pack.

"Oh crap."

Static took a step back as the little ground monsters started to scram over to him. Static backed away, his foot claws diggiging into the ground instintcually.

"No no no! Don't stand you're ground! Run! You can't fight! You can't fight!" Static urged himself as he tried to un-root himself from the ground.

The bulbs from the ground ran after him and one started biting him while other's climbed up him. Static was frozen with fear, he couldn't walk away, his foot claws had rooted him into the ground.

Static could feel the stinging pain as he felt what could be venom injected to him by the bulbs that were biting him. He coud feel his vision getting foggy.

"No no no. . . These things are going to kill me. . . They're going to kill me before I can go home. . . Before I can say goodbye. . ." As Static's thoughts started to be more visible than his vision he felt a sudden jolt of anger trhough his body.

He suddenly unrooted his feet from the ground and he trashed his tail, causing three of the bulbs to fall off of him and screech. Static ripped one of the bulbs from off of his chest.

He let out a low hiss he had only heard once before. When a Fangon had entered their yard he remebered his Father swooping Static behind him with his tail and letting out a horrifying, low hiss growl type mix.

Static flicked his tounge and watched as the blub creatures let out a small fearful screech. Static stepped towards them and the creature retreated.

Static pounced and grabbed one in his jaws. He used his strong bite power to crush the large blubus head of the creature, causing it to explode.

Green blood bursting all over Static's snout, his hair and his jacket. The green blood tasted sour and bitter. Staic spat for a moment before focusing his vison back on the blub creatures.

He watched as they tried to scatter away. His leg felt weak, the leg that had been injected by the most venom.

Static let out another low hiss-growl that was become more of a growl than a hiss as he used his tail to propel himself to pounce. He grabbed one of the blubs with his claws and another with his jaws. He clawed at the one while he thrashed the other around in his jaws.

He clawed at another blub after finishing the last, this one had a lot of missing roots and wasn't very fast. He gripped the missing rooted one and used his back claws to held with the killing of this one.

He crushed the one in his mouth and watched as the last two scattered away. He wanted to go after them, but the venom in his body was making his feel tired and weak. He rested his head on the soft grass of the garden.

He flicked his tongue and yawned. He closed his eyes and soon drifted off into a dreamless sleep.
