Cosmo sits up in his bed fidgeting with his friendship bracelet, thinking about him. He feels at ease whenever he plays with the bracelet but one thing stays on his mind; Sprout. Cosmo loves his friend but he's sure its in a platonic way..right? its normal to feel that butterfly feeling in your stomach whenever you're near him, its normal for your face to feel hot and your palms to sweat whenever you're near him...right? Cosmo thinks to himself late at night thinking about him too, even though he's sure hes not gonna be up early enough to make breakfast with Sprout. Cosmo even gets the feeling whenever he thinks about him. His stomach churns, thinking about how he's been acting lately, Cosmo feels his heart pound. "Maybe ill just ask Glisten in the morning and then help Boxten with baking" he tried to distract himself.
He ends up going to the kitchen to get a glass of water in the middle of the night, hoping that nobody sees him like this. Especially Sprout.
Cosmo tries looking for a glass of water when he gets startled by someone whispering his name "Cosmo!!" glisten whisper-screamed looking at him while glisten was just in his pink nightgown. Cosmo slightly panicked and replied with "um..hi Glisten... do you need anything?" "why are you up this late??" glisten quizzed Cosmo,
Cosmo just looks at him with his red eyes and sweaty palms and glisten just continued "so... do you wanna talk about anything? you can come to me if you need to dear." Cosmo just nods and Glisten leads him into his room, but not before grabbing a few napkins; knowing that Cosmo was likely gonna cry.

"...So Cos.. Whats up?" Glisten worried for Cosmo, he is his friend after all. Cosmo just blurts out "im really really really worried about how sprout is doing and its killing me because i feel like i cant talk to him without feeling all fuzzy and weird and sweat and i feel like he's been eating less and that he's been prioritizing others before himself and i really care about him and like, you know.. how you get those butterflies in your stomach, really sweaty and you feel like your knees are about to give up whenever you talk or think about your best friend." Glisten replies "No i dont?" glisten just continues on "its normal to worry about someone you love but maybe its just something sprout needs to sort out himself, personally i think you're worrying too much and that he's gonna be fine." Glisten tries his best to comfort Cosmo but Cosmo is just crying while glisten uses the napkins he grabbed to wipe Cosmo's tears and (some) snot too. Glisten rubs Cosmo's shoulder and looks at him, trying to reassure him about Sprout. "You know, if you need to you can spend the night in my room" Glisten offers to the sleepy Cosmo. Cosmo takes up on his offer and sleeps on the couch after using some napkins to clean his face. "im grateful i have friends to help me" Cosmo thinks to himself before dozing off
