• Scene 1: The Decision. The weight of Radha’s fate settled upon her like a heavy veil suffocating yet undeniable. She had made the decision to marry, not out of longing, but out of necessity. One morning, clarity enveloped her like a soft breeze. She approached her mother, Lakshmi, who was arranging flowers in the courtyard.
“Amma,” Radha spoke, her voice a whisper, “I am ready.”
Lakshmi turned, her hands freezing mid-air. She dropped the flowers and rushed to embrace Radha, tears of joy shimmering in her eyes. “Oh, my dear! I was so worried you would resist,” she said, her voice thick with emotion.
Amidst the flood of proposals from wealthy families, Radha surprised Lakshmi by choosing a modest family instead. “Are you sure, Radha?” Lakshmi asked, her surprise evident.
“Yes, Amma. I seek something real,” Radha replied firmly.
Understanding her daughter’s heart, Lakshmi nodded, and the preparations began in earnest.

• Scene 2: Wedding Preparations and Playful Teasing.
The village buzzed with excitement, the air electric with anticipation. Lakshmi threw herself into the preparations, her enthusiasm contagious. One afternoon, while sorting through vibrant sarees and jewelry, she caught Radha staring blankly at a pile of bridal attire.
“Radha! Are you daydreaming about your handsome groom?” Lakshmi teased, a playful smile dancing on her lips.
Radha shook her head, chuckling. “More like dreaming of escaping to the market.”
“Oh no, you can’t run away now! What will I do without my beautiful daughter to dress up?” Lakshmi feigned a dramatic pout.Radha laughed, feeling lighter. “You’ll have to find another model for your fashion shows.”
Lakshmi waved her hand dismissively. “Please! No one else could pull off my designs like you. Besides, who would wear the heavy gold jewelry if you’re not there?”
