The day had been long, and not in a good way. The members had gathered at the practice studio early in the morning, each of them feeling the weight of their ongoing schedule. A new album was coming up, and they were pushing themselves to the limit—learning new choreography, recording tracks, filming content, and attending meetings. It was as if there was no room to breathe, and Jungkook, despite being the youngest and usually full of energy, was feeling particularly exhausted.

The tension had been building for days, maybe even weeks. It had started with the small things—missed steps during choreography practices, minor mistakes during vocal recordings. Each time Jungkook slipped up, he saw Namjoon's eyes flicker with disappointment. The leader had always been a perfectionist, and that had pushed them all to be their best, but lately, something had shifted. Namjoon's patience seemed to be running thin, his frustration bubbling just beneath the surface.

Jungkook tried to ignore it. He told himself that Namjoon was just stressed, that it wasn't personal. But it was hard not to take it to heart when he found Namjoon's gaze on him during meetings, the slight shake of his head whenever Jungkook hesitated before speaking. It made him feel small, like he was failing not just himself, but the entire group.

The others noticed it too. Hoseok had pulled Jungkook aside a few days ago, his voice gentle as he reassured him that he was doing well, that Namjoon was just under pressure. Taehyung and Jimin, his closest friends in the group, made extra efforts to make him laugh, to lift his spirits whenever they saw the cloud of doubt settling over him. But even their attempts couldn't fully shield him from the growing weight on his shoulders.

It all came to a head that evening. They had been practicing the new choreography for hours, and Jungkook was struggling to get one particular move right. It was a complicated sequence, requiring perfect timing and precision, and no matter how hard he tried, he kept messing it up. Each time he missed the beat, he could feel Namjoon's frustration growing.

"Again!" Namjoon called out, his voice sharp. Jungkook nodded, wiping the sweat from his forehead, his breath coming in heavy pants as he got back into position. The music started, and Jungkook tried to focus, to drown out everything else and just move. But his body was tired, his muscles aching, and he stumbled once more, missing the step.

Namjoon stopped the music abruptly, the sound cutting off with a harsh finality. He turned to Jungkook, his jaw clenched, and Jungkook braced himself for the reprimand he knew was coming.

"Jungkook, what is going on with you?" Namjoon's voice was tight, the irritation clear. "We've been over this a dozen times. Why can't you get it right?"
