Only days had passed since the battle against the Deathbringer, and the island was slowly recovering from the devastation. The humans and dragons worked side by side to rebuild the villages, while Dagur and Mala made plans to better protect their home against future threats.

But deep inside Mala, she felt uneasy. The battle was won, but Viggo Grimborn had survived. She knew he wouldn't give up so easily. And this premonition was confirmed sooner than she expected.

Mala slept deeply, exhausted from the past few days. But when she felt the rough hand on her mouth, she immediately jumped up. «Help...!» Before she could defend herself, she felt something hard hit her head. Everything went black. When Mala came to, she was in total darkness. Her hands were tied and her head was pounding with pain. She tried to get her bearings, but all she heard was the gentle rocking of a ship. "Viggo..." she murmured quietly. She knew immediately who was behind it. This attack was precisely planned and she was his target. But why? What did he want from her? The door to the small room in which she was trapped opened and in the doorway stood none other than Viggo Grimborn himself, his smile cold and calculating. "Queen Mala," Viggo began in a sugary sweet tone, "I hope you had a pleasant journey. I'm sorry to have to wake you so rudely." Mala struggled against the bonds, her eyes flashing with anger. "What do you want, Viggo? I swear, you'll regret this!" Viggo laughed softly. "As fiery as ever. But that's what makes you such an interesting opponent. What do I want? Well, that's simple. You. Your power. And above all - your connection to Dagur." Mala's eyes widened. "Dagur? What does he have to do with it?" Viggo stepped closer, his eyes flashing dangerously. "Dagur will do anything to save you. And that's exactly the point. When he comes, I'll force him to give me what I want. Because you're too weak." Mala raised her chin, determined not to show him fear. "You underestimate it, Viggo." Viggo just grinned and turned to the door. "We'll see about that.

At the same time on Vanaheim, Dagur sensed that something was wrong. Mala was not in her usual place, and when he entered her hut, the bed was empty. He immediately searched the entire village, but there was no sign of her. Panic crept up inside him, but his warriors and dragon riders quickly gathered when he raised the alarm. "She's been kidnapped," Dagur growled, his eyes glowing with anger. He had no doubt that Viggo was behind it. The villain was too cowardly to face him directly, so he had used Mala as bait."We have to get her back," said Astrid, standing next to him, just as determined as he was. Dagur nodded. "Viggo has no idea who he's messed with. I will not rest until Mala is back with me." Shattermaster roared, as if he had sensed his rider's determination. Dagur jumped onto his dragon, his gaze determined, but worry pounding in his heart. If Viggo were to harm Mala... "Fly away!" Dagur roared to his warriors, and the dragons took to the skies together. It didn't take long before they found the trail of Viggo's ships. They flew north, out into unknown waters.
