Chapter 10: Getting Cornered

                                    

                                          
Y/N's P.O.V 
I'm now crawling across the ceiling of the sewer to get out. 
And I'm still talking with Natasha. 
Natasha: Okay, so Dr. Connors is gonna turn all of the city into mutant lizard's. That's a new one. 
Y/N: Yep. Look, I need you to get to my friends at Oscorp. They could be in trouble. 
Natasha: I'm on it. I do owe you one for saving my life. 
I sigh. 
Y/N: Thank you, Natasha. I'll be there as soon as I can. 
Natasha: Copy that. 
I drop down and start swinging through the sewer. 
Y/N: Come on, Y/N. Move it. 
(Five minutes later) 
I've just come out of the sewers. 
Now, I've got to get to Oscorp and stop Connors before he turns the city into mutant lizard's. 
I need to call Tory though, Connors is on his way there. 
I've tried Harry, Iris and Jenna, but I'm getting nothing. 
Y/N: Come on, baby. Pick up. Pick up. 
She answers the phone. 
Tory: Y/N, are you okay? 
Y/N: Yeah, I'm fine. Where are you and the other's? 
Tory: We're still at Oscorp. The cure is almost finished. 
Y/N: Look, you need to get out of there. Dr. Connors is in his lizard form and he's on his way there. 
Tory: We can't leave yet, the cure isn't done. It's close though. 
Y/N: Tory, there's no time. You all need to get out of there now. 
Tory: Y/N, we can't... 
The call cuts out. 
Y/N: Tory? Tory?! Oh, shit! 
I put my phone away. 
Y/N: I gotta get there fast. 
I web zip into the air and swing to Oscorp. 
(Ten minutes later) 
I'm now web swinging to Oscorp. 
As I swing through the city I see alot of cop cars driving down the streets. 
Y/N: Ah, crap. 
I also see a chopper in the air flying by me. 
Y/N: Man, I've got a bad feeling about this. 
I hear Jordan's voice come over the radio on the chopper. 
He's leading the manhunt for me. 
Jordan: Stand down, Spider-Man! Or we will open fire! 
I know that I can't stop now. 
I need to get to Oscorp before Connors turns the city into lizard's. 
Jordan: This is your final warning. Stand down! 
As I run across the buildings officers on the rooftops are shooting taser at me to slow me. 
I manage to avoid them though. 
I quickly turn round the corner and the choppers light blinds me.
Just then I get hit by a taser shot, causing me to let go of the web line. 
Y/N: Ahhh! 
I fall down and land in the streets. 
The stun and the fall cause me to drift in and out for a few seconds. 
I then feel someone lift me up into a sitting position and they put handcuffs on me. 
As I'm looking down at the ground I hear footsteps coming towards me.
When I look up I see Jordan standing there. 
I dip my head back down. 
Jordan then gets down to my level, grabs onto my mask and pulls it off.

My spider sense allows me to react to this. 
I quickly break the cuffs and trip Jordan up so he falls to the ground. 
I use my webs to take down and subdue the other officers with him, using my forearms to cover my face. 
None of them can see my face. 
I take down the final cop by grabbing his gun and throwing him.
I quickly snap his rifle in half, flipping into the air and taking him down with both halves of the gun, 
After that I drop both halves of the rifle. 
Just then I hear a gun cock. 
Jordan must have gotten back up and grabbed his handgun. 
Jordan: Freeze, Spider-Man! Down on the ground! Hands behind your head! Now! 
There's no getting out of this one. It's time for him to know the truth. 
Jordan's eyes widen. 
Jordan: Y/N. 
Y/N: Yeah. Jordan, the Lizard is heading for Oscorp. Iris and my friends are there right now. 
I slowly step forward. 
Y/N: Please, you've gotta let me go. I can save them. 
He is silent the whole time. 
I can tell by the look on his face he believes what I'm telling him is the truth. 
I then kneel down to pick up my mask before putting it back on. 
After that I web swing away.
It's time to save the city.
