Phu moves around the room poking into the corners of the closet and drawers to make sure he hasn't forgotten anything. He has everything packed except their clothes and things they will need in the morning. To be honest there would have been time to pack tomorrow but Phu has something on his mind, and he is too nervous to bring it up to P'Cir so he is trying to stay busy and not think about it too much.
"Phu, it's late, you should be sleeping." P'Cir says from the bed where he has been using the laptop Wim brought him to check on his investments.
Phu glances over at the chair where he has been sleeping almost every night. "I don't think I can sleep."
P'Cir lays his laptop aside and pats the bed next to him. "Come and lay down here, stubborn boy."
The hospital bed is small, but Phu can just manage to squeeze in beside P'Cir and lay his head on the alpha's shoulder. He wants to ask P'Cir something, but he is too nervous to say it. Instead, he asks, "Is P'Wim coming to drive us home in the morning?"
"Yes," P'Cir confirms as he strokes Phu's hair. He turns his head and whispers in Phu's ear, "Why, are you anxious to be alone with me?" Phu nods and the motion of P'Cir's hand freezes. He sits up to study Phu, he has only been teasing and hadn't expected the omega to answer in such a way. P'Cir studies Phu's face, "Phu?"
"I want to be alone with P'Cir," Phu is too shy to say the actual words but P'Cir seems to understand what Phu means.
"Phu, I won't hold back anymore." P'Cir warns him.
"Okay," Phu says, smiling up at him. He is happy that he had managed to convey to P'Cir what he wanted even though he was embarrassed. P'Cir hadn't made him feel stupid or awkward about it at all. That didn't mean the alpha was above teasing him.
"You tempting boy, just you wait." P'Cir says in a mock growl. He buries his face in Phu's neck, scenting him, making Phu giggle. "Sleep now. You'll need the rest."
Phu thinks there is no way he'll be able to sleep after P'Cir said such a thing. However, enveloped in the alpha's soothing scent he finds himself relaxing and drifting off.
Wim shifts uncomfortably as the silence in the apartment drags on. Phu is sittings staring down at his lap, his cheeks are bright red, while Cirrus is glaring at Wim. They have just gotten home from the hospital and Wim is trying to understand what is going on. The couple had seemed strange from the time Wim and Jin had picked them up this morning. He wonders if the couple has had an argument of some sort, but that doesn't explain why Cir is looking ready to murder Wim. He considers asking for water but the way Cir looks now he might just dump it over his head.
Wim is just trying to remember anything he has done or said that might have offended his friend when suddenly Jin stands and says, "P'Wim we should go."
This makes Wim frown harder; he thought Jin would want to spend some time with Phu since they haven't seen each other much recently. That's why he had brought the omega with him today to bring the couple home. However, the two omegas have barely said a word to each other all morning. Although Jin has been casting Phu thoughtful looks the entire time.
"Let's go." Jin says again, practically pulling Wim to his feet and dragging him out of the door. Almost as soon as the door closes behind them, Wim hears Phu squeal and giggle. Wim turns back to the door in surprise, but Jin continues to drag him away from the apartment.
"Why is everyone acting so weird today?" Wim asks.
"It's the first time they have been alone since the accident." Jin says with a huff. "It's not like they had any privacy in the hospital."
"Oh?" Wim is still momentarily confused, but then he remembers Phu's flushed cheeks and Cir's glare and realizes. "Oooooh." Cirrus you dog, go easy on our junior, he thinks. He follows quickly behind Jin, maybe he can talk the omega into a little alone time as well. He imagines the two of them cuddling and watching a movie together. After all, they have a date to make up.
