—"who even thought baseball was a good idea?!" sayuri complains continuously as satoru ties her hair in a ponytail—her body was still a little sore, but she was recovering well. still, her brother insisted to do it.

"yuji did." satoru rolls his eyes behind his blindfold. "he picked it, you know?" he defended himself.

"blame your suitor. not me."

gojo sayuri could hear the rolling of his eyes from her brother's tone.

satoru pulled one strand of her white hair before saying that he was done. sayuri had to wince and hit her brother for how much that single strand hurt. then, something so shimmery blinded his eyes. (it didn't, satoru just had to be dramatic.)

"let me see that thing." satoru pulled his sister's wrists as if it was nothing. there hung the tiny silver heart charm that apparently "blinded" him. "so, this is what suitors give?" he mumbled to himself. "it's weird..."

suddenly having a wave of sheepishness wash over her, sayuri pulls her wrist back. "so?! it's special since he gave it!" she defends, exaggerating the word special because it really is.

on cue, satoru's lips started trembling.

"oh, no, no, no! don't start with—!"

"a bracelet!? what's next?! a ring!?" satoru cried out loud, his blindfold was too quick to soak his tears. in his eyes, she really was still that little girl who constantly had to have someone by her side because she had snots from her cold.

instantly irritated by his overdramatic behavior, sayuri had to smother satoru's face with her hands just so he regains his usual self, but it didn't help.

"you're 30 years old, stop crying!"

"no! and i'm only 28!"

as the baseball game unfolds, the energy on the field is high, even though the stakes aren't quite as life-threatening as they had been the day before. sayuri, still recovering, watches from the bench with nobara sitting beside her, occasionally poking fun at the players—more specifically at the kyoto students.

despite her fatigue, sayuri can't help but smile, a softness overtaking her usual composed demeanor.

nobara clings to sayuri, her arms wrapped around her in a protective but teasing manner. "you better get better soon, sayu," nobara says. "we need you out there—otherwise, it's just me dragging these idiots along." she says, pointing at megumi on the other side of the bench, and to yuji who was on the field.
