The cold was most unwelcome to my tanned skin used to a scorching hot sun,
But despite the bite and sting of the chilly wind, I fell in love with snow just like everyone else.
I didn't fall in love with snow,
Because of the way it painted a scenery atop the sunken pine trees.
Nor the way it made children who built a snowman or snow-angels, smile with glee.
I fell in love with snow,
When it sprinkled your hair and dusted your eyelashes;
Small white flecks contrasting your dark eyes and rosy cheeks.
I fell in love with snow,
Because it did the impossible and added to your overwhelming beauty.
I fell in love with snow,
Because its sight shall forever be accompanied by the memory of you.
