Are you afraid?
Has fear frozen you in your tracks?
Are you overwhelmed by what this could be?
Do you fear that your feelings aren't reciprocated?
Are you haunted by thoughts that this won't work out?
Do you question my genuineness?
Does your mind trick you into thinking that this it too good?
That I'm too good for you?
Are you terrified of placing your heart in my hands only to have it broken?
Does this sudden change stem from the fear of heartbreak?
Considering the esteem to which I hold you, I shouldn't hope the answer to any of these questions to be "yes." But for the answer to be "no" would mean a devastating answer to all the questions that have in turn haunted my mind.
For a "no" to the above means a lost of hope, considering your latest actions.
I am grasping at straws,
Trying to find some way to justify what I'm seeing.
While I want you to say "yes" if the answer is "no", answer me nonetheless. Don't use silence to break the news. Confirm it with your words.
For I will finally be able to answer my own questions and move forward.
