(It's getting harder and harder to write as the story goes on)

We stood still and looked at the door, considering whether to open it or not. Ferina seemed slightly annoyed by the voice.

"What was that?" Arthur asked first, clearly unfamiliar with the voice.

"It's uhh..." I struggled to explain. "Z-779, a crypto miner, that's what I call it." Yeah... Ferina was better at explaining this stuff.

"I see. Is it a threat to us?" Arthur sounded concerned about our safety.

"Might be, might not." She sighs. "We can't really say, but from what we've experienced, I'd say yes."

My curiosity started to build again. I wanted to know what was behind that door. I wanted to see its physical form. I walked up to the door and grabbed the handle. Ferina didn't stop me, she already knew what was waiting behind it.

I slid open the door (even though it was fully automatic). Inside, it looked like a maintenance room, though it still had the feel of a containment area.

"Ooo, a visitor!" In front of me was what seemed to be a computer behind a fence, with a face crudely drawn using MS Paint. And, of course... it had lip-syncing.

Ferina leaned against the wall beside the door frame, arms crossed, staring at it. "Make it quick."

"What's with the attitude?" it replied, sounding defensive. "Look, I-I'm not doing this because I hate you or anything." It paused, its digital face flickering slightly. "It's just... Sebastian." Another pause, longer this time. "He said he would get me out of here. He PROMISED he would get us out of here. So, he asked me to delay the crystal retrieval. I'm sorry for any-"

"We've heard enough." Ferina said, as she raised her gun. "Got any last words?" I glanced around the room again, feeling like something was off. Had Sebastian been here before us? The thought build up in my mind, as if he'd been here not too long ago.

"W-wait! Don't kill me! Please!" Z-779 begged for its life, its face flickering with fear.

"Ferina, wait." I said, placing my hand on her gun to lower it. "Let's hear it out. It's too quick to say goodnight." I tried to reason with her, and to my surprise, she nodded.

Z-779 let out a sigh of relief. "U-um... I... I'm sorry for any inconvenience I've caused. I just don't wanna go back to Roblux mining. It's so... mind-numbing." Its voice trembled, sounding almost desperate.

"I don't wanna die... So please, understand..." it continued, but despite its pleading, I could see that Ferina posture remain the same. Her expression didn't soften there was no anger, just pure, unrelenting hatred.

"Ferina, are you sure?" I asked, my voice shaky, hoping she'd reconsider. But this time, she didn't listen. She raised her gun again, her grip tightening.

Something felt off, Arthur had been silent since Z-779 started talking. I turned around, concerned, and to my surprise, Arthur was gone, again. Panic surged through me as I scanned the room, searching for any sign of him.

"Where's Arthur?" I asked, walking outside to search for him. "He was right here!" I pointed to the spot where he had stood just moments before.

Ferina holstered her gun and followed me, casting a glance back at Z-779. "Consider yourself lucky this time." she muttered before stepping outside.

As the door shut behind us, Ferina turned to me. "Any clues?" She look around trying to find atleast a trace of him.

"No... Not at all." I used my hand to wipe the sweat off my forehead. Don't they have air conditioning here? I mean, they do, but it's barely working. Ferina handed me a cloth, probably her handkerchief. "Here, use this."
