"Dokyeom-ahh," Joshua whines for the nth time in his half-aware state, eyes closed and head falling onto the wooden table of the bar, a glass of amber liquid in his hand. Vernon sighs beside him, sipping on his drink casually.

Joshua whines again in his drunken state, Vernon sets his glass down with a clink. "Hyung, let's return to the hotel, it's getting late." He pats Joshua's shoulder, trying to wake him up from his drunkenness, which seems impossible cause Joshua has finished two and a half bottles of whiskey.

"Hyung-," Vernon calls out again but is cut off by Joshua shoving Vernon's hand away to pour himself another glass. "Hyung stop, you've had too much to drink! Dokyeom isn't gonna come back if you keep drinking like this! Please, sober up and get a grip on yourself." Vernon's hand comes up to his forehead, rubbing it with his fingers, indicating how stressed he is.

Joshua stops, staring at the empty glass in his hand, he thinks back to when everything was perfect, when Dokyeom was with him, in his arms but now he hasn't seen him in 3 weeks.

A drop of tear rolls down from his left eye, landing on his jean-clad thighs. Vernon stills, his breath hitching in shock, feeling guilty for saying hurtful things to him, he's never seen Joshua cry. "H-hyung..." He offers a comforting hand and pats Joshua's back softly.

Joshua closes his eyes, letting another tear roll down his face, he sniffles and opens his eyes, looking straight at Vernon, tears continuing to fall from his eyes. Vernon's demeanor softens at Joshua's vulnerable state.

Joshua keeps staring at Vernon but his thoughts wander somewhere else, his mind echoing with Dokyeom's giggles and the time they spent together when they were genuinely happy with each other.

---

He goes back to the initial days of their relationship, when they went on a beach date during sunset, he remembers Dokyeom running towards the water barefoot on the sand, the wide smile on his face that day never wavering as he follows Dokyeom towards the shore, his jeans folded up to his calves.

"I told you to wear shorts, right?" Dokyeom sasses, tucking a strand of his long hair behind his ear. Joshua laughs. "Ah, should've listened to you." Joshua replies back, cringing a little when the water goes up till his knees, leaving sand particles on his jeans.

Dokyeom holds Joshua's arms tightly when a huge wave hits, feeling himself getting pulled towards the ocean floor. "This is so fun!" He squeals, Joshua smiles and interwines their hands and they watch the sunset together. Dokyeom's head drops to Joshua's shoulder, a soft sigh leaving his lips, they stand in silence listening to the beach waves.

"Something's missing." Joshua breaks the silence, Dokyeom looks up from his shoulder with confused eyes. "What- ah!" Dokyeom lets out a loud yelp when Joshua picks him up like a sack of potatoes, throwing him over his shoulders. "Yahh! W-wait, Hyung! Hyung no!" He starts panicking when Joshua walks into the water, knowing full well what his intentions are.

Dokyeom hits Joshua's back, whining when he keeps walking deeper into the water. Joshua suddenly stops and drops Dokyeom into the salty ocean water, leaving him no time to even scream. Joshua keeps one hand on his waist, making sure he doesn't go too deep in the water.

Dokyeom emerges back from the water with a loud gasp, coughing and holding himself steady by gripping on Joshua's shoulders.

"Now this is more fun." Joshua giggles, failing to dodge a slap by Dokyeom on his chest. "You could've at least warned me!" Dokyeom scolds, coughing out the remaining salt water from his throat. "Cute..." Joshua teases, pulling him closer by the waist. "Cute my ass! I didn't even bring extra clothes to change!" Dokyeom whines.

"It's ok, I prefer you without them." Joshua says, hiding his smirk, earing another slap from Dokyeom. "Pervert."

They stay inside the water for another few minutes until Dokyeom's teeth starts chattering due to cold. Joshua hurries them back to the shore, the cold air passing by, making them shiver.

Joshua grabs Dokyeom's hand, rubbing it back and forth to warm it up. "Are you ok?" He asks. "I-i am except for the salt and sand everywhere on my body." Dokyeom answers. Joshua laughs, his eyes crinkling at the corner, Dokyeom laughs along with him.

Joshua pulls Dokyeom close softly, cupping his face. Dokyeom's hand travels up to his chest, resting there. "I love you so much, baby." Joshua whispers, the beautiful orange hue of the sunset adorning their faces.

Dokyeom's wet strands of hair sticking to his face, making him look even more attractive. The corner of Dokyeom's lips lift into a soft smile, mirroring Joshua's. "I love you more." Dokyeom whispers back, closing the distance between them, their hot breaths hitting each other.

"Impossible, no one can love you more than me," Joshua smirks, attaching their lips. "Not even you," He pulls back to whisper and crashes their lips back again, this time rough.

Dokyeom's hand crawls back to Joshua's nape, caressing the skin there. Joshua nibbles on Dokyeom's lower lip, his tongue delving into his mouth. He kisses him deeply, pouring all his love into the kiss. Dokyeom tongue tangles with Joshua's, softly humming at the warmth of his mouth.

Joshua tilts his head, his hand on the back of Dokyeom's head, pulling him closer, delving deeper into the kiss, lost in it.

When they pull away, they are both breathless, staring into each others eyes, the sun reflecting in their eyes. "You were right about the salt part, it's everywhere." Joshua says. Dokyeom laughs aloud, throwing his head back, Joshua laughs along with him.

They rush back to their car when another cold wind passes by, making them shiver. Joshua grabs a portable travel blanket from the trunk, walking over to the passenger side, where Dokyeom is seated, he opens the door and covers Dokyeom in the blanket, walking over to the driver side, starting the car and turning the heater on.

Joshua looks over and finds Dokyeom blushing, he giggles - finding him cute. He places his hand over Dokyeom's bare thigh, his shorts ridden up. "I love spending time with you like this, How about we go hiking for our next date?" Joshua asks, Dokyeom lets out an annoyed groan and throws his head back on the seat. Joshua starts driving with them laughing together.

---

Everything was going smooth back then, they loved each other so much, they used to go on dates weekly, they were normal couples, until that someone came into Joshua's life and everything came crashing down.

Joshua regrets falling for that someone's trap and ruining his perfect relationship. Joshua falls into Vernon's embrace, hugging him tightly and crying into his chest. Vernon sighs, feeling sorry for him and rubbing his back.

"It's my fault, everything is my fault. I-I should've never- never done that. I should've...never cheated." Joshua cries harder, choking up with each word and pouring out all his emotions. "I'm sorry Dokeom-ahh, please," He coughs and sniffles. "please come back to Hyung. I...miss you."

Vernon continues to comfort him but notices him passed out in his arms from all that drinking and crying. "I wish I could help you find him Hyung." He whispers and gets up, supporting Joshua's body, he walks out of the vip bar table to their rented car cautiously. Once inside, he buckles Joshua in carefully and starts driving to the hotel, he wonders if Joshua would remember anything when he's sober or even feel the same emotions as earlier.
