Night had fallen over the Jaehan camp, casting long shadows over the rows of tents and soldiers as they moved about with purpose. The air was thick with the scent of dirt, sweat, and the sharp tang of metal from the weapons scattered around the camp. Fires burned in the distance, their flickering light casting a faint glow across the encampment, but it did little to soften the harsh atmosphere.

Among the sea of soldiers, two figures moved quietly, blending into the chaos as though they belonged there. Dressed in the black uniforms of Jaehan soldiers, they slipped through the camp with practiced ease. Their movements were calculated, careful not to draw any unwanted attention.

Eun-woo and Taehyung had pulled off the impossible---they had successfully infiltrated the enemy camp. But the risk weighed heavily on Eun-woo’s shoulders, his body tense with constant vigilance. He kept his eyes trained on Taehyung, never letting him stray too far from his side. Beneath his calm exterior, his heart raced with anxiety, the dangers of their mission never far from his mind.

Taehyung, for his part, moved with the quiet grace of someone who had spent years training for situations like this. His face was carefully hidden beneath the cloth that covered him from the nose down, leaving only his sharp, intense eyes visible. His delicate features---the very thing that could give away his identity---were safely concealed, though that hadn’t stopped the occasional curious glance from the other soldiers.

Eun-woo exhaled quietly, glancing at the men around them. It had been almost two days since they had slipped into the Jaehan camp under the cover of night. The tension hadn’t left his body since the moment they arrived. The danger was ever-present, not just from being surrounded by enemy soldiers but from the fact that Taehyung’s scent---his sweet, omega scent---could betray them at any moment.

That’s why, for the past two days, Eun-woo had been constantly releasing his pheromones, masking Taehyung’s scent and protecting him from the countless alphas that surrounded them. It was exhausting, both physically and mentally. Every hour spent maintaining the mask drained him, but it was necessary. If any of the Jaehan soldiers caught even the faintest whiff of Taehyung’s scent, it would be over for both of them.

The camp itself was a labyrinth of tents and makeshift structures, with soldiers milling about at all hours. Every corner held potential danger, and the oppressive atmosphere didn’t allow for any sense of relief. This was no place for an omega, and Eun-woo knew it all too well.

As they moved deeper into the camp, Eun-woo’s eyes scanned their surroundings, always alert. His instincts were screaming at him to turn back, to get Taehyung out of there, but he knew his brother wouldn’t leave until they found something useful.

They had been living among the Jaehan soldiers, taking on the roles of lower-ranked men, slipping into formations, and staying out of sight during roll calls. They moved like ghosts, but the reality was starting to weigh on Eun-woo. They hadn’t learned much. Despite their best efforts, Jungkook wasn’t at the camp, and the information they had hoped to uncover remained elusive.
