Who knew vampires could be so warm?

I wake up overheated, on the verge of sweating, with all of Minho's limbs wrapped around me. His arms encircle my upper body, keeping me close to his chest. His legs are intertwined with my own, like having only his arms around me wasn't enough and it was his goal to have as much contact as possible. With a chuckle, I kick off the comforter that covers us, and immediately relish in the feeling of the cooler bedroom air.

He stirs at my movement and his arms tighten reflexively, a low whine leaving his throat. But as he senses my laughter, his lips brush against my ear, the touch so light that I might not have felt it if not for the goosebumps that rise on my skin. I rub my hands slowly down his bare back, realizing that he must have pulled his sweater off at some point in the middle of the night. His breath hitches at my touch and his eyes open, glazed with a sleepy haze but still incredibly beautiful, dark, and mysterious.

I gaze at him in wonder, trying to keep my eyes from lingering on his body for too long. "Good morning."

He blinks multiple times, waking fully from his daze as his lips curl into a lazy smile, his eyes crinkling. "Morning."

"You seem to have slept well despite being away from your coffin." I tease him.

He rolls his eyes, but there's no malice in it. "Very funny."

I scrunch my nose at him. "You did sleep well, though, didn't you?"

"Oh, I slept better than well." The smile on his face grows. "Sleeping next to you was more than satisfying."

"Good." I smile back. "And what about my dreams? Any of them interesting?"

His eyes widen the tiniest bit, a blush spreading across his cheeks. "I, uh..." He stammers, before shaking his head and averting his gaze from mine. "N-no. Not that I can remember."

"You're lying." I narrow my eyes at him.

He laughs nervously, his gaze returning back to mine. His lips part, but for a moment only, as he struggles for words to say.

"Out with it!" I urge him playfully with a nudge.

With a heavy sigh, he relents, his eyes fluttering closed. "You...dreamt of me," he admits, his voice barely above a whisper. "Of us, together."

"Oh..." I glance away from him, slightly embarrassed before deciding to own my subconscious thoughts with a smile. "It was a good dream, then?"

"It was." His face lights up as he catches the flirtatious tone in my voice. "You were..."

"I was what?"

The hesitation in his voice melts away, replaced by a confident hum. "You were very...affectionate." He finally finishes, and this time he doesn't look away. A promise hangs in the air between us— unspoken but oh so potent.
I rub my hands across his skin again, and scoot closer to him so that our noses touch. "Sounds about right."

"I thought so too..." He murmurs, his words slurred with desire as he tilts his head to brush his lips against mine. He's soft and gentle at first, but as the spark of our connection ignites, the kiss deepens, becoming more insistent.

I fall into his kiss willingly, savoring the taste of his lips. He pulls me against him so that there's not even a trace of space between us. I find myself in a wave of unexpected emotion, and can't help the small moan that escapes from my mouth. He groans back in response as he slides his tongue against mine. Then he pulls me up and over to straddle him in the bed almost hungrily, his lips never leaving my own. With every touch of our tongues meeting each other, the heat between us rises. His hands clutch at my hips, pulling me closer, and I inhale a sharp breath at the friction.
