(After Dinner)

Arthur POV

I was still thinking about how Jake was this powerful and how he knew about elder Rinia three years ago.

If my suspicion are correct then he's also reincarnated otherwise he couldn't be this powerful. He beat dad and me without using mana and I've assimilation with Sylvia's will making both my mana core and body stronger. He reached yellow stage at this age is just not possible.

And what's really bugging me is how he got this strong at such a young age. Just what kind of training made him this strong. If I could atleast get some secret from his training then I'll be able to protect my family even better.
I can't even begin to imagine just how powerful he'll be if he keeps getting stronger like this.

"Kyuuu" Sylvie said to me.

I guess I'll talk to him tomorrow since tonight I'm going to sleep with my parents so I can't find a chance to talk to him.

(Next Day)

After the breakfast, we had to leave for shopping in a couple of hours. Jake was in his room. I thought it was the best opportunity for us talk. So I walked towards his door.

Jake's POV

"Sylvia, I was wondering what else do we do to prepare for agrona. Any ideas? I honestly wants to let the things play out as did in the novel for as long as possible. But I want to keep agrona under a pressure that he can't just do whatever he wants. You getting what I mean right?"

"I can understand that. I also what to let things play out the same for Arthur to get his aether core. But don't forget about the consequences like your father."

"Well I was planning to save them from consequences. Even if it's kinda selfish."

"I know... As for keeping agrona in check I think you need to be able to just treat the scythes and wraiths like rag doll. We have to let him who he's dealing with after all. But don't forget the other problem."

"Yeah your dad, kenzess. I know but he's not an immediate problem as long as he doesn't think we're against him."

"Please don't call him my dad." She sighed. "Being with you I've realised that my luck with men is terrible. My father is a power hungry mass murderer and my ex husband is another power hungry dictator."

"They're basically equivalent to certain guys from my old world."

"Yes! Basically. Atleast you're not power hungry. I mean you're, to some extent, but atleast you aren't just going around and killing people left and right."

We heard a knock on the door. I went to check it out. I opened the door and found that Arthur was standing in front of me.

"Can we talk? Alone?" He said to me in a tone that is quite serious.

I grabbed his hand and pulled him in and closed the door so that nobody could hear us.

"So what is it you want to talk about?"

"There are somethings but first tell me how you got so strong?" He looking at me to find any lies I might tell.

"Talk about your luck. We just talked about the devil and he's here." Sylvia said to mentally, clearly enjoying about how I would handle the situation.

"Your speech has been plagued by my memories, you know that?"

"Your fault."

Returning to Arthur who was still waiting for an answer.

"I trained, obviously." I said in a deadpan look.

"That's obvious. You know what I'm talking about. I mean how you trained?"

Welp he's serious. So I decided to go and sit on my bed.

"Long story short, you got the looks Arthur. I got the power."

"What?" He was confused.

"I mean. Look at yourself and then at me. You're definitely more handsome than me. Atleast let me keep the strength."

"No... That's not what I" I cut him off as I pushed him out the room after hearing mom's voice to go shopping with them.

"Looks like it's time to go shopping. Let's talk about it later. Alright?"

"Okay but stop pushing me." He was slightly annoyed.

I wasn't planning to tell him about myself just yet. It might go the wrong way too much.

"I agree. It's better if he doesn't know about your truth, our truth. Not now." Sylvia agreed with me.

(After sometime)

I was in the shopping district. Picking up the bags. They're too many. Help me.

Arthur was being a doll for mom and aunt Tabitha. Wearing different clothes and getting haircut just to look like a civilized human.

Atleast I wasn't treated like that. It would've killed me. Brother your sacrifice will not be in vain.

Afterwards we were on a bridge from where Arthur to see some shop.

"You know it's good to see him like a child sometimes" mom said to aunt Tabitha.

"Yeah but last night he looked... You know." Everyone sighed.

"But that reminds me" She looked at me. "How are you this strong for your age Jake? Arthur looked serious like veteran warrior but you defeated not only him but your dad as wee in one attack." Aunt Tabitha asked me which also peaked everyone's interest.

"Arthur got looks. I got the power." I said with a smirk.

"And a lot of help from your system, me and your past life memories of different fantasy stories and animes" Sylvia, as always, chimed in mentally whenever I try to take any credit.

"Thank you." I gave her a mental salute which satisfied her.

"So, should we go check on him? He's late." I said trying to avert the discussion.

"Yeah, sure. He is late." Mom said and we went after him.

After we saved a guy from losing his dignity by a mad Arthur, we arrived at the Hesltea Manor.

We went in to see a old lady sitting on the couch with dad and uncle Vincent.

"Oh yeah... I kinda forgot about Cynthia. She was to come and test us today." I mentally thought to myself.

"Also the author forgot to mention about her in last chapter. So Not your fault" Sylvia said to me breaking the fourth wall.

A/N: Hey! Don't point out my mistakes.

"You already mentioned that you'll make us break the fourth wall." Both me and Sylvia looked at author with disapproving look.

A/N: Don't bully me you two.
