I look in the mirror, fresh out of the shower, admiring the tan lines I acquired from a full day at the beach.

"He said 6 and it's 5:30. We need to leave like now!" Auri yells, frantically going through her suitcase. After changing and applying makeup, I'm almost ready.
"Okay well that only took me a couple of minutes, you should be proud of me," I respond.

"So proud." She says, applying the last of her lipgloss.

"Okay, are we ready?" I spritz my perfume all over, sliding on my shoes.
"I think so." She walks over to our door, grabbing her handbag on the way out. I follow suit, not far behind her as she walks over to Brady's room and opens the door.

"We're about to leave come on guys." She huffs, eyeing them from the doorway.
"Where are we even meeting them?" Lucas asks, walking out shortly after.

"At this one restaurant not far from his dad's," I say

As we walk up the stairs and start nearing the restaurant, I look around for his familiar face. It takes a couple of seconds, but as I make my way towards him he spots me as well, a smile taking over his face. I can't help the stomach flutter I get when I look at him, longing to be in his arms once more.
"Hi," I say, walking up to him. The restaurant towers in front of us, the blinking red sign reflecting onto his face. The smell of the food wafting out as the door opens and closes makes me even hungrier.
"Hi Evelyn" He wraps his arms around me and I hug him back before letting go. His arms linger around me for a moment, his touch leaving goosebumps on my skin. He stares at me for a beat, smiling at me when he doesn't bother letting go.

"Is it bad to say I missed you even though it wasn't that long?" I question. Our bodies are pressed against each other, his hands around my lower back holding me close to him.

"I think I missed you more." He kisses me, his tongue exploring my mouth. I put my hands on the back of his neck, his lips lingering against mine before reluctantly ending the kiss as he looks at the others. I long for the warmth of him against me as we pull back from each other again.

"Okay we should probably go, guys this is Evelyn, Auri, and?-" He pauses when getting to my brother and Lucas.

"I'm Lucas that's Brady," Lucas says, gesturing from him to my brother. They nod at each other and he continues, "And they are Alex, Erik, and Melanie." Leo continues, nodding at them as well.

I wave at them and so does Auri, her eyes lingering on Alex. I notice their share of eye contact, as they start conversation while we walk up to the doors of the restaurant. The cool breeze as we walk in, is a nice change from the humid summer air, the chatter of people getting louder as we head towards the tables in front of us.
"Table for seven?" The waitress asks us, as we reach the entrance for seating.

"Yeah we have a reservation for 6," Alex responds. I glance at him again, getting a good look this time. His height is the first thing anyone notices, if they don't notice his light brown hair and blue eyes when they first look at him. Anyone would be lying if they said he wasn't attractive. Auri and I make eye contact and she opens her mouth gesturing to the fine hunk of a man.
"I know" I mouth, laughing at her.

"Follow me!" She responds, walking towards our table. As we take our seats, Auri doesn't wait a second before making small talk with him, but who's surprised? We sit in a booth closer to the back of the restaurant, the room filled with forks scraping against plates and people's conversations. "So, have you ever been here?" I quickly scan the menu, taking a mental note of what would be good to eat, making sure to avoid things that could give me bad breath, for obvious reasons.

"Plenty of times, you can never go wrong with Rio's" He doesn't bother looking at the menu, hinting that he already knows what he's gonna order.

"Are you guys ready to order?" The waiter asks, coming back a couple of moments later. She takes out her notepad and takes our orders, going around the table. She grabs our menus and walks away after she's finished, leaving us to our conversations.
