"What the fuck do you wear on a cliff-jumping date?" Will screeched, throwing a pair of pants at Bella, who was sitting on her bed and watching the scene amusedly.

"Something warm, I guess... you could always ask -"

"No, I told you, we're not telling Jake or Quil about this," Will said, gulping the guilty feeling away in her throat. She knew how they would react, and she couldn't deal with that right now. "Besides, I know how to cliff jump, it's just that I usually go in old pajamas. I can't do that now -"

There was a knocking sound at the door, and Will happily clapped her hands together, some of her doubt leaving at the presence of her best friend. "That should be Jess!"

Bella gasped, faking shock and anger. "You thought my advice would be so bad that you needed backup?"

Will shrugged. "Nothing's wrong with a second opinion, Bella... and she could help you too, don't you have your weird little date later today?"

"What little date?" Jess said, bursting into the room. Charlie must have let her in, he quite liked the girl, but not as much as Alice Cullen.

"It's not a date," Bella said, glaring at the girl, knowing it was partly her fault she was in this situation. "It's the movie with Jacob and Mike... are you sure you won't come?"

Jessica snorted, flicking curly brunette tresses behind her head. "I'm working... and even if I wasn't, I'd rather not watch 2 hours of mindless gore while sitting next to my ex, thankyou very much."

"It's like your own personal hell," Will giggled.

"Speaking of," Jess said, starting to sort through some clothes, "are you even sure this is a date?"

Will blushed so hard she turned scarlet, and she looked down at her lap, lightly picking at the corner of a thread. "I sure hope it is..."

"What did you say exactly? It's absolutely imperative I get the whole situation."

"Well, he said we should cliff jump together, I said when, he said this Saturday... that pretty much sums it up."

"I'm hoping he got the message as well, because if not that's just saying a lot about his intelligence."

The two girls laughed, and Bella smiled - it wasn't a lot, but it was more than she had been doing these past months since Edward left. Jacob really seemed good for her, and although Will was the tiniest bit jealous at first, she was happy about it now. All she really wanted was for her sister to be safe and happy.

"So," Jessica said, her voice tilting at the end, revealing to Will that she was about to dig for information, "I heard about your father's date at the diner."

"Yeah..." Bella said, obviously uncomfortable, "how old is she, anyway?"

"Not as old as your father, that's for sure."
