Cadence chuckled. "Twilight, calm down. Let me explain."

Twilight took a deep breath, composing herself. "Please, Cadence."

Cadence began, "The Crystals of Semblance were created by Celestia to balance the Elements of Harmony. While your group maintains harmony in Equestria, Midnight's team safeguards the dreamscape."

Luna added, "We couldn't publicly acknowledge the Dream Team due to the sensitive nature of their work. Their existence had to remain hidden, even from most of Equestria."

Twilight's curiosity sparked. "What kind of threats do they face?"

Midnight's expression turned solemn. "Nightmares, Twilight. Dark creatures born from ponies' fears. We protect Equestria's dreams, ensuring the land remains peaceful."

Twilight's eyes widened. "I had no idea. Why didn't you tell me?"

Celestia's voice softened. "We wanted to shield you from this burden, Twilight. Your focus was on maintaining harmony, and we couldn't risk distracting you."

Twilight understood, but her mind whirled with questions.

Just then, Shining Armor entered the room. "Cadence, love, I see Twilight's... enlightened."

Cadence smiled. "Almost, dear."

Shining Armor turned to Twilight. "Sister, trust me; this revelation will change everything."

Twilight looked at Midnight, determination growing within her. "I want to learn more about the Crystals of Semblance and the Dream Team."

Midnight smiled. "I'll teach you everything, Twilight."

Twilight's determination grew, but her gaze lingered on Midnight, a mix of curiosity and wariness.

"I want to learn more about the Crystals of Semblance and the Dream Team," Twilight said, her tone measured.

Midnight's smile faltered for a moment before she nodded. "I'll teach you everything, Twilight."

As Midnight began explaining the intricacies of dream walking and nightmare combating, Twilight listened intently, her eyes narrowing.

"You're saying you've been protecting Equestria's dreams for years, without anyone's knowledge?" Twilight asked, her voice tinged with skepticism.

Midnight's expression remained calm. "We've worked in the shadows to ensure Equestria's safety."

Twilight's brow furrowed. "Why should I trust you? You're a stranger, with powers I've never seen before."

Midnight's eyes flashed with a hint of defensiveness. "I'm not asking for your trust, Twilight. I'm offering to share our knowledge."

The air thickened with tension as the two mares locked gazes.

Luna intervened, her voice soothing. "Twilight, Midnight means no harm. She's dedicated to protecting Equestria."

Twilight's gaze didn't waver. "I appreciate that, Princess Luna, but I need to understand Midnight's motivations."

Midnight's smile returned, laced with a hint of challenge. "My motivations are simple, Twilight: to safeguard Equestria's dreams and prove myself as a worthy ally."

Twilight's eyes narrowed. "Prove yourself? To whom?"

Midnight's voice dropped to a whisper. "To you, Twilight Sparkle. To show that I'm not just a mysterious Alicorn, but a guardian worthy of your respect."

The room fell silent, the tension between Twilight and Midnight palpable.

"So you want me to let down my guard and rule a kingdom with a mate I've never even heard of" Twilight asked. "No wonder the crystal of trust isn't in your possession" midnight said
