Notes:
Hi! How are you all?! (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)

Good evening or good morning. Whatever time it is in your city!. ʕ ꈍᴥꈍʔ

I'll be quick!

cale still hasn't met the kid in this chapter.....
I remembered that there was the kids' reaction. And some minor events before we get into the climax. So I made Cale meet him in the next chapter..

(Maybe Rok Soo's kid personality is weird to you, or difficult to deal with. But that's what I think of a kid who was verbally and physically abused for years..?)
There will be a little overview of the next chapter. In the notes below (。ò ∀ ó。)

______________________

'Shall we all go inside?'

Despite the gentle smile in front of him, the calm voice, and the warm look that Rok Soo didn't understand why someone was looking at him like that.

But this didn't make him feel safe or warm like a child should feel.

Perhaps the opposite. Because if he felt something right now, it would be extreme caution.

Because someone was treating him kindly?. And for no reason?

This is wrong. He feels like the alarms are starting to ring loudly.

It's better to deal with rude and angry people. Because Rok Soo thinks they are more obvious than nice people.

But for someone to deal with him kindly. This makes him even more afraid and nervous.

And that's if the feeling of fear hasn't gone away already..

Not anymore. He's just an empty shell.

As the world has turned gray to him. And the only thing Rok Soo might feel is numbness.. Or emptiness.

It doesn't matter. If those people wanted to lock him up and beat him up as soon as he entered that big house, or deprive him of food, or in the worst case, kill him-...

No...Rok Soo might think that death is a comforting idea...

But the only thing Rok Soo will do is submit.

Whatever they tell him, he will do it without hesitation.

Since they are strangers, Rok Soo thinks that the first orders might be simple before they get more difficult.

But even if they told Rok Soo to throw himself off a cliff. He would do it.

He doesn't think he has the freedom to think that it might be painful or not.

So when the black-haired adult stood up and gently extended his hand. The child automatically felt his breath hitch a little, and wondered what exactly he should do, but when the hand approached his small hand, he ignored it and grabbed the hand.

He looked down, not wanting to see the other person's expression. But he almost flinched when the hand gently squeezed his hand.

He felt something strange wrap around his injured leg. He thought that maybe his leg had finally decided to stop working.

Was he supposed to feel warm? ... Why did Rok Soo feel his stomach tighten for a moment.

He never remembered the feeling of someone else's hand on his. He had only seen all the children do this with their parents. So he didn't know that he was warm.
