[a/n: the final chapter of this crossover story! LFG! ♥]
WITH HER ARMS CROSSED, resting each hand on her shoulders. Wednesday woke up and saw a pitch black ceiling that had no limits, shifting her eyes to her left, she saw someone with black boots with heels.
"Good to see you again, Wednesday" A feminine voice echoed the dark void. Confused as to what's going on, Wednesday rose up with a furrowed brow and saw Anna who called for her. She is wearing the same attire she wore during the final battle except her hair isn't wet anymore nor had any scars or battle wounds around her face.
Her eyes wonder around the void with no end or a way out. It's almost like she's at a place where no matter how far you run, you will always end up in the same place, an empty space that leads to nowhere and nothingness.
"Where am I?" Wednesday asks.
"Purgatory, a fine line between heaven and hell, I was only here just to see you because I have something important to tell you" Anna lends Wednesday her hand, offering to help get her up on her feet.
Wednesday stared at her delicate and soft hand with no red blisters on her fingertips, to her it's strange because the last time she saw her hand, it got cuts and blisters on the sides and knuckles but nevertheless, she took her hand as Anna pulled her up.
Then she notices a small but fainted halo radiating behind Anna's head and this surprises her. She didn't get a clear vision of Anna being dead due to her head pounding and spinning after getting hit on the wall, the only thing she can focus was the syringe on her hand and the wolf's back hence why she decide to use her last breath to go up to him and stab him with the cure.
Anna understood her reaction and gave her a soft smile instead following a nod as her way of re-assuring to Wednesday that she's in a safe place now. "No need to worry about me anymore".
She exhaled a heavy sigh then added, "I knew I was at the wrong place, I was expecting to be drowning in hot flames or the sounds of despairing souls, begging to be saved or travel all the nine floors down. It'd be an adventure if you ask me".
Even in the afterlife, Wednesday still thinks and speaks the same, amusing Anna a little bit but the woman continued communicating with her like it was her friend she's speaking to. She didn't get to have a chance to reconcile with her when she was alive so this became her only chance. "The reason why you're here is because I want to tell you that it's not yet your time".
Wednesday raised a brow slightly. "But I made a grave sacrifice-"
"And it did pay off but I believe you still had some unfinished business up on your sleeve".
Anna's remark reminded Wednesday about a recurring problem she had faced before she visited Nevermore Academy and discovered the mysterious red journal. After the battle of Nevermore and bidding her friends goodbye for spring break, she not only accepted a phone from Xavier as her way of apologizing for falsely accusing him as the Hyde but she received weird messages from her first stalker.
