Jax knew the exact moment that (y/n) fell asleep.
As the rabbit blinked his eyes from the intense amount of pleasure he felt, a gentle weight fell onto his shoulder. Looking to the side, he smiled softly at the cute mouse beside him.
God, she's adorable.
God, I'm whipped.
Gently, he pulled her into his lap so he could hold her tighter. He smiled as he played with her limp fingers, frowning at the scars on her arm.
Poor (y/n), he thought, having to deal with this threat.
Jax hated that he couldn't do anything about what had happened, but it was fine. He would help her through the struggles that she was facing. That was what love was supposed to be like, right? He loved her.
(Y/n) started squirming, causing Jax to frown. Is she uncomfortable? Is this not comfortable for her?
He made the decision to carry her to his room so he could watch over her as she slept. It was the least he could do after fucking up their relationship for the longest time.
After arriving, Jax softly set her down on his bed and was about to climb in next to her but stopped. Is this too fast? Will she be comfortable with me here?
He sighed, tucking (y/n) into the bed. She needs it more than I do. I'll sleep on the floor.
"Good night, (y/n)," Jax whispered. Softly, he squeezed her hand before letting go and pulling the blanket up to her neck.
Jax scanned his room for something to sleep in. He quietly opened his closet door and tried to catch the various items that fell from the worn-down shelves. Hastily, he cleaned it up, sorting the items and making sure they wouldn't fall down.
Bingo.
He bent down and reached for the bottom shelf, finding a sleeping bag that Caine gave them one time when he forced all the circus members to go camping together. He laid in on the floor between the bed and the door and settled himself in, ready to sleep.
He closed his eyes.

When I woke up, I was in an unfamiliar room. I rubbed my eyes, scanning my surroundings as I tried to guess where I was.
Is that Jax on the floor?
My heart melted as Jax let out tiny snorts, curling up in the sleeping bag that seemed too tiny for his tall frame. I can't let him sleep like this. He should take the bed.
"Jax," I called softly. "Jaxxie, you can't sleep on the floor."
Jax shifted in his sleeping bag, groaning slightly. "Wh—oh, (y/n)."
"Jaxxie," I cooed. "Come on, take the bed. The sleeping bag isn't big enough for you, I can sleep in that if you want."
"No," he muttered. "You need sleep more than I do, it's fine."
"Jax," I scolded. "Get on the bed right now."
Rubbing his eyes, Jax sat up, his yellow eyes adjusting and meeting mine. Wordlessly, he walked over to the bed, tiredly scooting near to me and plopping his head down in my lap.
I smiled as I rubbed his ears, Jax humming slightly in relaxation. Soon, Jax grew limp in my lap as he fell asleep again, the little puffs of air/snorts starting up again.
