"I can't believe you told him that!" I scolded Newt, as he got up from the bed and he quickly dressed himself.

"Well, he already caught us.  What else was I supposed to say?" Newt asked me.

"Anything but we're both naked." I scuffed.

Newt rolled his eyes, as he picked up my clothes from the floor, before handing them to me.

"I think he had already put two and two together." Newt spoke softly to me.

I grumbled, as I quickly dressed myself.

I stuffed the little wooden bird into my pants pocket and I grabbed my notebook.

"Now, you stick with Minho until I finish helping fry with breakfast." Newt spoke seriously, as he opened his bedroom door.

"Mhmmmm, but what if I don't?" I asked jokingly as the two of us began to walk down the stairs.

Newt huffed loudly.

"I was serious when I said you need a set of eyes on you. And while I'm helping Frypan, you'll be with Minho. Quit being stubborn." Newt chuckled at the end.

As the two of us got to the bottom of the stairs, there stood Minho and Frypan.

"Looks like you two had an... eventful night." Minho joked, with a large smile on his face.

I could feel my cheeks instantly grow red and hot.

"Yeah, yeah. Let's go, Fry.  We've got work to do." Newt said changing the subject.

Frypan followed Newt out of the homestead.

Minho and I sat down on the floor, and got to work.

We drew up any and every map change and cycle we could think of.

We had paper everywhere, scattered around us.

"Did they find anyone this morning?" I asked Minho.

Minho looked at me for a moment, before he shook his head 'no'.

"Shit." I mumbled.

Minho let out a little laugh, as he continued on with his work.

"What are you laughing about?" I asked him, as I cracked a smile.

"You're the only one here that doesn't say the words like 'slint' or 'shank' and so on." Minho smiled.

"Yeah, because I remember the real words like shit and fuck.  If I remember them, I might as well use them.   Besides, I never like the sound of your guys words anyway." I giggled.

Minho paused for a moment.

"What else do you remember?" Minho asked me softly.

Minho wasn't usually a very soft spoken person, so I knew he was serious.

I slowly closed my eyes, taking in a long deep breath.

I searched in the very back of my mind for any and everything I could find.

Any spark of anything that had to do with anything before the maze.

"Loud blaring train horns, the smell of gasoline, the taste of a cold bowl of ice cream, cold snow, and the smell of rain on pavement." I listed off, before I slowly opened my eyes.

"How..." Minho looked at me in shock, "I can't remember a shucking thing."

"It comes in waves I guess.  Sometimes I'll hear something or see something that reminds me of something before the maze.  I didn't remember events or people, but I do remember those things." I told him, as I began stacking up my papers neatly.
