Roulette Road(Shadow the Hedgehog X Human!Reader)

                                    

                                          
Shadow first then Foop.
Roulette Road is my all-time favorite track from any Sonic racing game. Team Sonic Racing's version is my favorite. I would have made this customizable like I do, but that would have been too complicated and too vague.

"Shadow, where are we going?" you asked as the hedgehog drove.
"Roulette Road. I know you've been dealing with your anxiety lately, so I thought of taking you for a drive to distract you. You've said multiple times it's your favorite track," he said.
You kissed his cheek. "Thank you, Shads."
He reached over and grabbed your hand. He pressed a kiss to the back of it. "You're welcome."
You soon pulled up to a stop at the starting line. The track's theme played through Shadow's radio once he switched to the Casino Park radio station.
"Are you ready, darling?" he asked.
"How fast are we gonna go?" you answered with a question.
"Just cruising. Nothing to trigger your anxiety," he said.
"Okay, cool," you said.
Shadow drove through the starting line and down the straight dive. The gravity caused Shadow's initial easy speed to increase and your stomach to feel like it was floating. Once you hit the upper stretch before the giant slot machine wheels, the original speed was regained and the weird sensation in your stomach was gone.
"Are you all right, darling?" Shadow asked over the blaring music.
"I'm good," you replied.
You made it to the twist in the road before the giant roulette wheel. You couldn't help but giggle happily. Shadow smiled at your demeanor.
"Enjoying yourself now?" he asked as he drifted along the road around the roulette wheel.
"Yeah," you smiled while resisting the lateral g-force. Upon hitting a couple of boost pads, you whooped excitedly as the increase in speed swung you around the curve.
You drove onto the poker table section. Shadow took the winding road effortlessly to avoid the stacks of giant poker chips. As you took a sharp left at the end of the section, he observed, "I see speed isn't a problem for you."
"We can go racing speed if you want," you said as he drove through several neon gates. They resembled the ace of spades.
The road split into two carpeted paths, a red path on the left and a blue path on the right. Shadow sped up and took the red path. He swung past both sharp turns. One more sharp right turn later, you crossed the finish line and started another lap. Suddenly, you were joined by the other eleven racers.
"Mind if we join, Shads?" Sonic asked.
Shadow smirked at you. "I'm eager to win. Are you up for it, darling?"
You nodded happily. You then taunted to Sonic, "Bring it on, faker!"
"I'm so ready!" he exclaimed before you and Shadow sped in front of him. Your anxiety had been long forgotten. It was now replaced with adrenaline and dopamine.

I'm glad I could finally bring this idea to life. I'm really satisfied.
