— ♥ —"Yes, ofcourse I am. This was completely my fault." I reply, slightly confused by his answer.
"No it's mine, I just wasn't looking." The young boy said, nervously scratching the back of his head."Don't be so silly." I say as I search for the wallet in my bag, "will this cover?" I ask him reaching out 500 dollars. Usually I didn't like showing of my money, but in this case it felt like I needed to.
His eyes widened when he saw the money I was reaching out, maybe it wasn't enough?"That's really nice, but I can't take your money." He spoke to my surprise, slowly pushing my hand back. "Are you sure?" I asked and he nodded in response.
"Well then, how can I make it up to you?" I asked him, feeling like I owed him.
"What's your name?" He asked me, giving me a charming smile, it almost made me blush."It's y/n l/n." I spoke softly, "I'm Lloyd." He replied, I slightly raised an eyebrow waiting for him to drop a last name, which he didn't.
"Are you new here?" He asked me, breaking the silence. "Yeah, today's my first day." I nodded.
"Maybe I can show you around the city sometime then, we can make it up to each other." Lloyd smiled at me, his comment took me by surprise. Did he want to see me after school sometime?"Sounds great" I smile at him in response, slightly tilting my head.
"Can I get your number then?" Lloyd asked, sounding a little nervous. For a moment I went quiet, "I'm sorry I don't just give away my number, you can dm me on instagram though?" I eventually spoke. The bell rang before he could respond, then I realized I had to be at the principals office.
"I'll see you later, Lloyd." I quickly spoke, looking back with a smile as I walked away. I had found the doors of the principals office but then I realized, I never told him my Instagram user.Lloyd pov:
— ♥ —I pinched myself to check if that really just happened. This has been the first time in years someone apart from my friends had actually been nice towards me. She seemed so open and interested I even asked her number, which she ofcourse didn't give.
I blamed myself for my sudden confidence in the moment, it seemed like she had made me forget who I was, the son of Garmadon.I shook my head to shake of the thought, but I couldn't. Don't hope for it, Lloyd. I kept telling myself, knowing soon enough she would learn about my father and hate me like everyone else in this city.
I hated going to school, every morning I asked my mother if I could just not go. The answer was always the same, knowing I needed my education and a chance to live a normal life. But how could I? I was the son of Garmadon.
My father has become a good person, but no one could forget the damage he has done to Ninjago in the past. And they took it out on me, every. single. day.
I couldn't wait for tonight though, hoping I could patrol around the city, as the green ninja.
I loved myself when I wore that gi, I was nothing without it. Everyone admired me and looked up to me, unlike here no one ever bullied me or shut me out on purpose.I walked to my normal seat, all the way in the back of the class. No one sat next to me and didn't catch too much attention.
"Morning dork." Spencer said, "ew, what is that smell?" Billy commented, pinching his nose with his fingers. I ignored the comments and quickly sat down, hearing Heather and Lisa giggle.I rolled my eyes in annoyance, my whole mood ruined by them. They were that popular group of kids in high school, who everyone secretly hated.
Spencer, Billy, Owen, Brandon were the top players of the schools football team. Their egos were insane, always feeling like they're better than everyone and every girl likes them. And most did, but they'd always get dumped after they got what they wanted, which was just a good one night stand. While Heather, Lisa, Emily, Gia and Chloe were a part of the cheer group. They acted like the best of friends, but secretly they all hated each other.
I remember one time Lisa got more roses send on Valentine's Day at school than Heather, she was furious with jealousy for the rest of the week. People like them only friended each other for status, I despised it.I didn't pay attention to the teacher talking, asking everyone to be quiet and sit down. No one ever listened to her, she was one of the sweetest teachers but didn't have any control over the class.
Spencer and his group sat at the front, close to the door. He was making impressions of the teacher while sitting on the table, his back turned towards her.
Then just before the teacher started to lose it by her ignoring students the door of the classroom opened. I caught a glimpse of h/c hair and a dark blue shoulder bag, feeling a small smile forming on my face.
