"Jyesth, why is she crying so much. I have to see her. How must be she?" An over panicked bheem said standing up from his sit and intended to go inside but karan stopped him while yudhishthir came to comfort him.
"Bheem calm down! She's giving birth to your child, it would take some time." Karan told but it didn't work much on him."Hidimba never had these much problems. I don't remember her crying with pain."
"That's because you were not present there, bhrata bheem." Nakul teased coming by his side and holding on his one bulky arm.
"Don't make such faces bhrata, what will your child think his father is welcoming him with such weird faces. Poor kid!" This time bheem grabbed his under his arm as the others laughed with their always going on banters.
"Jyesth, I didn't say anything before bheem but isn't it too much? God forbids if there's some problem. Is it normal?" Yudhishthir asked out his doubt without being audible to other brothers except karan. The eldest kunteya smiled and kept his hand on his younger brother's shoulder. "It's normal yudhi! Giving birth to a child isn't easy. I had seen vrushali and draupadi. Both had complicated pregnancies but everything turns normal once the child born. Don't worry much just wait for some more time."
As the men were stressing outside, the chamber inside was filled with rush too. Maids were helping the vaidya with warm water and other needed medicines while vrushali, draupadi and subhadra were encouraging valandara who was fighting with whole might. Her screams grew more intense and scary for few minutes and just then the child born. Draupadi smiled out and looked at valandara who relaxed down and soon slept away with the tiredness.
"It's a boy!"
"A boy again!" Subhadra said like a kid as both the ladies giggled.
"It's fine, you can give birth to a girl. Try soon!" Draupadi teased and her face was red with the blush. She didn't speak anything and avoided going to other side.
The vaidya cleaned the baby and gave it to vrushali who cooed him and kissed on his nose. "He's so beautiful!" She looked towards valandara but she was sleeping as the vaidya had given medicine to her. Draupadi came by the baby's side and excitedly touched his cheek.
"He's so much vala's son. And here mine one is complete carbon copy of his father." She pouted her lips to which vrushali laughed with subhadra.
"Let's show him to his father now."Draupadi held the baby in her arms securely as they came out of chamber. The brother gathered her as bheem rushed like a wind. He was so much in awe seeing the baby.
"Bhabhi, can i hold him?""He's all yours bheem." Saying so she passed the baby boy to his father. Bheem delicately held on his son and cooed him. He was overwhelmed with this feeling, as his eyes filled up with tears. The brothers smiled seeing their giant brother getting emotional. He pampered his son for sometime and then gave him to karan. Arjun, nakul and shadev gathered around them as one by one they took the baby in their arms while praising on how beautiful he is.
"You all get on side, now my son will go to his chote pitashree." Bheem said and came before yudhishthir. Suddenly he turned nervous on taking the child. It was the first time of him taking the baby and he was scared too."My hands are dirty bheem, I will take him later." He told showing his hands. Draupadi wiggled her eyebrows at his sudden excuse. She didn't speak anything as she could clearly see the nervousness on his face.
There bheem sulked up at him but he convinced him. "For now spend some time with your son bheem. It's time for celebration, I'll invite maata and after then we will name our child." The topic distracted everyone as they all cheered up and again went around the newly born boy. In the meantime yudhishthir made his leave without anybody's notice except his wife...............
"I don't want any compromise with indraprastha's safety. Keep extra security on the borders and shadev look after the problems of our subjects. Till now we have made peaceful alliances and i wish to continue this if after this there's possibility of fight then let it be." Yudhishthir's powerful yet calm voice reverberated in the courtroom. The members of court nodded as his brothers exchanged proud looks.
"The court is dismissed." He ordered and stood up followed by the others.
Reaching the room he got rid of his heavy crown and jewellery then sat on his couch with the documents.
"Arya!!"
Draupadi's voice distracted him as he looked around to see none. He got up and walked till the doors where his wife was standing with a smile. He too smiled but it faded seeing the newly born son of bheem. He stepped back leaving some distance as she entered while cooing the baby in her arms.
"Look at him, he's so beautiful and delicate. I just remember vindya seeing him. How soon my child grew up!" She said pouting her lips while looking at the baby."What are you doing panchali, be careful! You will drop the baby like this." He said with a bit panicked tone then coming to her made her sit on the bed while standing opposite to them. He was in awe seeing the cute baby, of course he was happy to see his little brother's son but at the same time scared of it. Draupadi who knew all this grabbed his wrist and made him sit by her side. She didn't give him much time to proceed and kept the baby in his arms.
"Panchali what are you doing? I'll drop him."
"You won't, I trust you!" She said as he looked into her eyes which were confident. With trembling hands he gripped over the child and pulled him to his chest. A smile adorned on his face as finally he could love the child. The baby comfortably slept which just made him so much emotional.
"He's so small. I was scared that I may hurt him but see he's so confidently sleeping without any worry."
"That's because his heart know that his uncle will save him from all the dangers of this world." She said and kept her head on his shoulder while touching the soft cheeks of her nephew. "Was our prati this small?" He asked out and she chuckled.
"All the children are like him, arya!" She told and rested her head back on the place.
For sometime they sat in the silence as him adoring the child and draupadi comforting him as his hands were still trembling. A warrior and king who can pick up any weight was scared to pick the small baby and that's what left her wondering. It was showing his love towards the newly born that by mistake also he didn't want to hurt him. Just when they were spending sometime subhadra entered with permission to take the baby as he must be hungry and his mother has to fed him. Once she left yudhishthir took his wife in his embrace with something going in his mind. She observed it and asked out.
"What's engaging my king so much? What are you thinking?"
"I was just thinking, I couldn't see my prati when he born. You were suffering from complicated dilevery and I didn't even know at that time. I want to experience all that. I want too see you carrying my child, want to take care of you both. Everything that I missed, I want to enjoy those moments with you." He kept his wish to which she gave a shy smile at him.
"You want another child?" It was more like a statement than question."It's fine if you don't want panchali. I'm just telling my wish___"
"Why won't I? Of course I have the same wish. Only I know how much I missed you at that time, at every step I wanted you to be on my side. This time i want you to be the first person to take our child and name him." She told and he smiled. She hid her face in his embrace as he kissed on her forehead. They both wished the same and were waiting to get the wish completed.
