Ghostly meeting

Since Chara decided to pout and not respond to me anymore because of what I said, I continued to walk ahead. But to my surprise, another silent ghost already got here before them. They laid on the red leaves and blocking the entire way. Are they napping? I don't want to wake them...I stood at their body, conflicted what to do as I heard them snore and whisper under their breath. Now what?
„You should move him with force away."
„What?"
That silence was short lived. Or they try something again. I rubbed my arms and stared up at Chara.
„I don't want to force them away! They got here first so...it would be mean of me."
„Mean or not, you need to continue. It's his fault for laying on the floor and blocking everything...again."

Again? So this must have happened multiple times. But still...forcing someone? I looked back at the ghost and sighed, slowly nudging them with my hand.
„Uhm...excuse me? Can I get through here?"
They didn't seem to want to answer and out of the blue, it got black and white again. Do I really have to fight in order to continue? Chara stayed however this time by my side with a neutral expression.
„You don't wanna get hit by his tears. Trust me."
The...tears? I looked down at the menu and pressed down on check.
'NAPSTABLOOK - ATK 10 DEF 10. This monster doesn't seem to have a sense of humor...'

Slowly I feel like the narrating of this text is getting sassy. Or maybe I just walked too long without a probed break to rest and feel safe.
„Oh I'm real funny."
They said as they started to shoot tears at me which crawled upwards on the walls and rained down on me. It were so many that I couldn't dodge all and one landed on my shoulder. The sound of a 'shh' was first before I even noticed the acid burning on my shoulder. I screamed and hold my shoulder staring down at the reddening place. What?? WHAT?! Tears formed up in my eyes from the pain, but I blinked them away while breathing heavier out of shock. Why did that hurt so much?? Aren't those supposed to be tears?

Chara flew closer and frowned.
„I told you to dodge. Ghosts can attack body and the soul. So his attacks aren't going in your soul but body. Hence the pain."
„You aren't the one who had to bear it! Ugh...oww..."
It felt like acid burning through my flesh, and eating on my bones. But it seemed to be only the size of the needle. If their tears had been any bigger...it might be way worse.
„Than how am I supposed to go through with this?"
„How am I supposed to know? Just smile and cheer him up so he won't need to cry!"
Cheering up that monster?! This is nonsense! Why would I ever do that! His attack burns through my body and I am supposed to root for that?

They seemed to read my thoughts as they shook their head and stared down at Napstablook.
„I don't want you to encourage him. Just amuse him for a while. I knowing hurts, but you gotta pull yourself together."
With this pain? I let go off my shoulder and stared long at the fight button, before laying my hand on act. Who in their right mind would fight a ghost? I certainly won't. So I shot him a patient smile while trying to focus on the attacks and not the pain gnawing on my conscience. He seemed to laugh and didn't attack just yet. So one can decide to do nothing in one's turn and just wait it out...good to know. I took cheer yet again and spoke up.

„Where do stylish ghosts go shopping? In a Boo-tique!"
He laughed yet again, but his tears kept going to attack me. Luckily I dodged them this time, but all the moving hurt my shoulder and made me slower to react. I can't give up now!
„His mood seems to go up so continue Frisk. Not like you got any other choice."
„Gee, thanks so much for the advice Chara!"
„So you get sarcastic if you are in pain. Noted."
I cheered yet again for the ghost in front of me and this time he wanted to show me something.
„Let me try..."
His tears suddenly started to move upwards on his own body and I felt a little annoyed that I had to go through pain and he does not if the tears are touching him.
