I would like to announce that the first chapter of my new book *Radioapple* is out! Go check it out after reading this chapter :)

Lucifer was bored without the sinner's company. He sat on the couch, staring at the clock for several long minutes. His eyes dropped to his wrist; the human wasn't in danger as long as the mark didn't flare up. He looked at his other wrist, and his gaze filled with melancholy as he saw the apple-shaped mark.

**FLASHBACK —>**

Adam and Lucifer were having fun in the Garden of Eden. "Catch this apple, Luci!" The angel got hit right in the face by the apple. "HEY!" The blond chased after the man and tackled him into the grass. "Gotcha!" They laughed together for a long time.

Adam suddenly looked serious. "Tell me, Lucifer, do you think we'll be friends forever?"

The smaller man gave him a warm smile, his gaze softening. "Let's make a promise: no matter what happens between us, we'll stay friends for eternity."

The two men shook hands, smiling. A red apple appeared on Adam's wrist, while a golden apple appeared on the angel's.

A few minutes later, Eve and Lilith joined them. "Having fun without us? You'll pay for that!" Lilith began tickling Lucifer. "HAHAHAHA, STOP, I CAN'T- HAHAHAHA-" The four of them continued laughing, enjoying the moment filled with joy and happiness.

**<— END OF FLASHBACK**

A tear rolled down the soft cheek of the guardian angel, who quickly wiped it away. Ever since Adam's fall to Hell, the blond had always felt guilt and remorse. If he hadn't shown Adam and Eve the Garden of Eden, maybe none of it would have happened. They could've kept playing and singing all day long. Maybe Adam hated him now?

One negative thought followed another, but they were interrupted by the sound of keys turning in the door.

Lucifer turned his head and saw Alastor calmly entering the house. "Did you miss me too much without me around?" His smirk was as irritating as ever, but charming nonetheless.

"No, I can perfectly keep myself entertained!" He was too proud to admit that without the human, his day had dragged on.

Alastor hung his coat on the rack before sitting next to the angel. "By the way, my friend Rosie invited me to a ball tomorrow. If you want, you can come with me. Some of my friends you know will be there, like Husk, Nifty, and Mimzy."

Lucifer never liked crowded events, but if he could get closer to... PROTECT Alastor, he couldn't refuse. "I'd be happy to come. What time should we leave?"

"The ball starts at 8 p.m., so we should leave at 7:30 p.m." The brunet explained the details of the event, like the theme, the special guests, and the kind of music that would be played.

"And the most important part is the outfits. Since the theme is 'matching with your evil counterpart,' I think it makes the most sense for me to wear dark colors while you wear light ones."

"Alright, but where are we going to get our outfits? You need reservations to go to the tailor," the blond tilted his head.

"I already have an appointment today. I'm sure the tailor won't mind if I bring someone along." Alastor stood up. "Go get ready; we're leaving in 20 minutes."

Lucifer quickly went to his room to change and fix his hair. He had spent the whole day in his pajamas and hadn't thought about styling his hair.

Once ready, he left the house with Alastor. The walk was calm and peaceful, with the soft rays of the sun warming their skin and the gentle sound of birds in the air.

When they arrived at the tailor's shop, they were greeted by a tall, imposing man, probably in his forties. He wore a black suit and gloves. His gray hair fell in front of his piercing green eyes.

Alastor finally spoke. "Hello, Zestiel! I hope my guest doesn't inconvenience you."

Zestiel smiled warmly. "Of course not, it's no trouble at all. I'll just need to take his measurements more carefully since he's never been here!" The man looked at Lucifer. "By the way, what's your name?"

"My name's Luci! It's a pleasure to meet you."

After the introductions, Lucifer went to give his measurements. Alastor and his guardian angel started browsing the costumes and found two gems. One was a deep crimson suit, with golden cufflinks that perfectly complemented the golden accents of the suit. For the angel, they found a white suit with gold details, which matched Alastor's suit perfectly.

The brunet paid for the outfits, and the pair began their walk home. The path was quiet until a man approached Alastor.

The man pointed at Lucifer. "How much to rent him for the night?"

The angel didn't understand, while the sinner pulled a disgusted face. "He's not for sale."

The man insisted and PUT HIS HAND on the angel's shoulder.

The moment his hand touched Lucifer, he was punched square in the face by Alastor. "Touch him again, and I'll kill you." His cold gaze revealed his murderous intent.

The blond was shocked by what had just happened. Alastor had a few drops of blood on his hand, his usual smile gone, and his once-kind eyes were now filled with fury. Lucifer never thought the sinner could be so jealous.
