The rest of that week consisted of Cas' father and brother scouring every possible book, magazine, ancient files, internet, newspapers, in hopes of finding something that might get the lovers to spend this life together, without any curse lurking in the shadows.
Alastiar went to the ancestral Shaman villa, to talk to the elders and other fellow Shamans.
They all had answers, but the only problem was the price. Each piece of article or book, even elders, had clearly said that, to reverse a curse it often requires a sacrifice, one of them had to die to serve the other a peaceful life.
Alastiar returned home defeated, dejected, eyes hollow and dark circles around them. Regal's heart ached seeing his father like this, Cas had called earlier but he didn't have the heart to tell him about the possibilities—Cas'd definitely want to die to give Silvia the life of freedom.
"Dad, dinner's ready." Regal called.
"I'm not hungry."
Regal sighed. "Dad, you need to eat. We need to be healthy if we are to do this for Cassie."
Alastiar stared at the floor for a good minute then stood up, knowing his son was telling the truth. For Cassie.
As he was about to take a seat, his phone started ringing. Alastiar pushed the chair aside and went to take the call. The ID said it's one of his students. Alastiar taught students the subject of Spiritual Arts at a university, he had even asked his students for help, so he quickly picked up the call.
"James?"
"Yes, sir. Do you have time to talk?"
"Of course. Did you find something?"
"I did, sir. I have found way to reverse a curse with minimal price to pay."
Alastiar glanced at an eager looking Regal, both of their eyes sparkling in curiosity and excitement.
"Tell me about it."

Caspian awoke in the morning by the mouth-watering smell of bacons and pancakes. Stretching his arms, he sat up on the bed and was hit by dejà vú. It's just like the first morning he spent here. It's like an eternity had passed till then.
First thing after waking up Cas did was check his phone for any new text or call from either his father or brother. But it didn't dishearten him to see no new notification, because that meant another day he could spend with Silvia in peace.
The last week, since they came back from his father's house, had spent in utter bliss. They had a lot to make up for after all, either of them barely left the bed, if one wanted to get out, the other would seduce them back to bed, and no one complained.
Though it pricked his curiostiy every time Caspian caught Silvia jammed in her thoughts, eyes boring and hand stirring the spoon in her tea for several seconds till it turned cold, but whenever he asked, she'd shrug it off and lure him back to bed to make love till both of them were drained, and passed out from exhaustion.
Caspian didn't want to pry much, thinking she must be worried about their future and the curse, so he did his best to deflect her mind from agitation, and serve her some peace.
This morning was nothing unusual. Cas trudged over to the kitchen in just his shorts, chest bare and exposed all the new hickeys he'd earned last night.
"Morning." He greeted, sitting on a stool and leaning his elbows on the island counter.
Silvia turned with the plates and raked his body lustfully, Cas' cheeks tinted pink as his body burned under her gaze.
"Morning to you too, little one." She leaned over the counter to kiss his forehead. "Here's your breakfast, sire." She added animatedly, pushing a plate closer to Cas.
"Why thank you, my lady." Cas giggled.
Silvia's heart warmed at the infectious giggle, a sound forever imprinted in her mind.
"I was thinking how about we take a stroll at the park today. We've been scooped up in the apartment for a whole week." Cas suggested while digging in his food.
"We can't go outside where it might be dangerous for you." Silvia deadpanned.
Cas pouted, batting his lashes adorably, "Come on, Sil. It's just around the area, not too far. We'll be out only for half an hour."
Silvia shook her head sternly.
"I have been staying indoors for almost a month now. At first it was at my father's and now here. It's suffocating me!" He whined, he actually needed to breathe in some fresh air.
Silvia stared at him for a few seconds then huffed, placing her fork down in defeat.
"Okay. But only for half an hour."
"Yes! Yayy!" Cas did a little happy dance on the stool, making the woman shake her head with a chuckle.

Silvia and Cas walked along the park, hand in hand, glancing around at the kids playing, adults and teenagers chilling here and there, the weather's sunny and a soft breeze brushing past them, it felt good.
It felt like they were free from all the incommodiousness of the world, and just basked in the moment of togetherness.
"Sit here. I'll get us ice-creams." Silvia said, pointing to a bench by the lake side.
Cas nodded and sat down, admiring the view of the sun rays reflecting on the lake water and the floating ferns whistling along the wind. He smiled.
"Here." Silvia had already returned and handed him a cone, sitting next to him on the bench, biting her own one.
"Thanks." Cas happily unwrapped the ice-cream and licked over it.
"My pleasure."
They sat in a comfortable silence, just enjoying their ice-creams and often smiling at each other.
Silvia finished hers and threw the wrapper away, turning to Cas, she giggled a little noticing the ice-cream smeared at the corner of his mouth.
"What?" Cas pouted, throwing away the wrapper and munching on the last bite.
"You got ice-cream all over your mouth, baby." Silvia continued to laugh.
"Where?" Cas puzzled, touching the wrong spots to clean it up.
Taking his hand, Silvia lowered it and took a quick glance around to make sure no one was watching, thankfully the bench where they sat was hidden behind a huge tree, so she took the chance and scooted closer, connecting her lips to Cas' mouth and poking her tongue out to lick over the smeared ice-cream.
A very pleasurable shiver went down Cas' spine as he felt her hot tongue over his mouth, fluttering his eyes close and inhaling sharply. Silvia smirked, kissing him passionately, continuing to assault his mouth and tongue with hers, loving every twitch or sound he made, they encouraged her to go on.
But they were also very much aware that they were in public and the way they were kissing, things could escalate into something soon. So, much to both of their reluctance, they pulled away and looked in each other's eyes, pupils blown wide with desire and no words needed to be exchanged.
Silvia got up and took Cas' hand, hurriedly leading him back to her car. Caspian's heart pounded in his chest, ears all hot, and warmth coiled in his stomach.
He couldn't wait, no matter how many times they had done it, he still felt enthralled, aroused and anxious in anticipation, every single time.
Guess sex with your mate was just as otherworldly and unbelievably amazing as the whole past life scenario.
