This man has been consuming every thought of my brain. I'm seeing his illusions cooking in the kitchen, shirtless.
I'm seriously attracted to him, my obsessive side which I didn't knew I had is becoming my new personality.
Rishi Khurana was my first boyfriend, a friend who became more. I grew to love him over time, like a familiar habit. He was safe, someone I trusted completely.
My heart beats so fast whenever Aditya is near it's like it'll burst any second.
I don't even know if I really loved that theif anymore cause this guy, my bestfriend's brother is making me feel things I have only dared to dream of.
When he asked if I needed a hug, I couldn’t resist. Wrapped in his arms, it was like being cradled by a teddy bear—warm, safe, and comforting.
He smelled like chocolate, and I melted into him. Mhmm
The next day, as he dropped me off at home, I couldn’t stop myself. I hugged him again, Okay that was fine but my stupid heart won over my brain and asked my lips to kiss him on the cheeks just as his dimples appeared with a chuckle.
"How am I supposed to face him now? I can't believe how embarrassed I am. It's like every ounce of confidence just vanished. Jeher dedo koi mujhe.
He’s sorting through all my chaos, and I can’t shake the feeling that I’m weighing him down.
Every instinct tells me to distance myself, but fate keeps throwing us together.
It’s awkward, and I’m terrified of what Aditi would think if things between us took a different turn. The last thing I want is to jeopardize a friendship that means so much to me.
I think it's time for a bestie chat with Aditi. I'll casually bring up the situation, you know, just asking for a 'friend.'
Hopefully, she’ll have some solid advice without catching on to the fact that this 'friend' is actually me."
“Hello, BFF!” I greeted, snuggling deeper into my bed.
“Hello, baby girl,” she mumbled in a sleepy voice, pulling her blanket tighter around herself.
“Were you asleep?” I asked.
“I was, but not anymore,” she said, rubbing her eyes.
“Wait, whose hand is that?” I suddenly noticed a tattooed hand that looked strangely familiar. Main aur Mera budhapa, why can’t I remember where I’ve seen that?
“N-No one… it’s nothing,” she stammered.
“Aditi Vikram Malhotra, you better spill the beans right now! And why on earth are you naked?” I asked, completely surprised.
“Don’t be mad! I’ll explain everything tomorrow. And for the record, I’m not naked,” she said, unwrapping her blanket to reveal a tube top.
“I’ll be exclusively naked for my husband, not for some random person,” she added with a smirk.
“You better have a good explanation because you look like you’ve just been freshly fu—”
She quickly glanced to her left, then back to me. “I didn’t do anything! I might say the unholiest things, but I didn’t do that, okay?” she said, trying to explain.
“And when I do something, you’ll be the first to get all the detailed tea,” she promised.
“Of course, that’s my right,” I said, flipping my hair with a grin.
I know she’d be the first to come running and spill all the juicy details if anything actually happened, but a little teasing doesn't hurt, right?"I talked to your brother," I said, shifting the conversation.
"What did he say?" she asked, immediately focused.
"He said he’ll track him down and return whatever was taken from me. He needs a week," I blurted out.
"It’ll be done before a week," she replied with unwavering confidence.
"How are you so sure?" I asked, curious.
"You don’t really know what my brother is capable of, Esha. He’s a softie with the people he cares about—he’ll go lengths to protect them and keep them happy. But if someone disturbs his peace, he destroys them," she said.
"He nearly killed a guy who tried to touch me inappropriately when I was visiting him in London. He dug up everything about that man, who happened to be some public figure.
My brother hacked into his bank accounts, his phone, his laptop—donated all his money to various charities, and made sure a decent amount went to the guy's wife and kid since he was going through a divorce.
He didn't stop there, He exposed the guy for taking inappropriate photos of women. People canceled him, and he lost everything.
And mind you, my brother was only in his second year of college back then, already a skilled hacker. He takes his work damn seriously," she added, her voice full of admiration.
I was stunned by what Aditi revealed; it was hard to reconcile this new side of him with the gentle, attentive man I'd known.
It seems there's more to him than I realized, and it'll take time to fully understand him.
"Anyway, let him focus on his work," Aditi said, steering the conversation back.
"Are you coming to the charity gala?" I asked, shifting the topic.
"Yes, I’ll be there. I need to connect with some people," she replied. Then, with a curious tone, she added, "But how did you hear about it?"
"Your brother invited me as his date," I admitted, not wanting to hide anything.
"Really? Thank God, he’s not going alone!" she laughed, clearly relieved.
I wondered if she was okay with her brother taking me to the gala, but then again, she probably wouldn’t see her brother and best friend in a romantic light. Stupid me
Before I could ask who she was going with, she cut in, "Esha, I’ll call you later—an important call’s coming in." And just like that, she was gone before I could probe further.
