SPROUT'S POV:
I was cleaning up the kitchen, wiping the messy counter and mopping the dirty floor. I decided to take a small break, so I got myself some water and leaned against the counter.
I felt a lot stressed lately.. Today and the past few days were really busy and that I've barely gotten enough breaks. Cosmo usually suggests me to skip work for now, but I always refuse. Well, maybe one day of skipping won't be so bad?
I just realized that I've been zoning out. I guess I was too deep into my thoughts. God, my head is hurting a little. I need to rest. I'm so exhausted. I wonder where Cosmo is.. Is he absent for today? I guess so..
"Wait- what is that over there?" I whisper to myself, blinking once and it was gone. I swear there was something over there by the corner. I'm not crazy!
I continue on drinking my glass of water, doing quick glances at the corner that I swear something was there. I close my eyes, trying to relax myself a little. I open my eyes and this time I see something in front of me! Right in the sink..
And.. It looked exactly like me!
Then, I blinked again and it was gone. There's no way I'm going insane! I'm seeing it right in front of my two eyes! Maybe Cosmo is pranking me?.. Hopefully it's just a prank.
I felt myself getting nervous, sweating a little. I should hurry up and leave.
I began to clean the kitchen again, looking back at the sink and every corner. I don't see it anymore! Perhaps it's finally gone? But what if it's still here?
I'm a little creeped out.
I was finally done cleaning up the kitchen as I was just about to leave until I saw something by the corner of my eye. IT WAS THERE AT THE SINK AGAIN!
"Stop it!" I said to it. It disappeared again. Okay, this is getting creepier. I should just leave. I looked back to where I was facing earlier, but then I saw it over there by the corner. Shit! What is going on?! I couldn't move at all.. I'm getting scared honestly.
"Leave me alone.." I said, hoping that it will disappear again. But it didn't. It's still right there. I start breathing slightly heavily, feeling my head starting to ache.
It just stood there like some sort of mannequin. Someone's trying to mess with me, right?.. Right?..
"Get out!" I said more louder to it. I shut my eyes tightly, hoping that it will be gone once I open my eyes again. While my eyes were closed, I heard soft whispering near me. I am really REALLY terrified right now. Someone make it stop!
I try to shut the voices up by covering my ears, my eyes still tightly closed. I could feel myself tearing up. "Stop!" I cried out. It would still continue. Suddenly, I heard the door swing open, making everything go quiet. I snap my eyes open, seeing Cosmo standing by the door.
"Sprout, are you okay?! I could hear yelling in here.." Cosmo walks up to me. "I-... I don't know.. I guess I'm fine now." I rub my arm, trying to calm myself.
"Are you sure?" Cosmo takes my hand gently. "...No. Please help me.." I hesitate to say. "What's wrong?" Cosmo sits both of us down on the floor.
"I'm hearing and seeing things.. I don't know what's happening to me right now.." I simply explain. "...Just calm down, okay? Everything will be alright. I promise." Cosmo pulls me into a nice, warm hug, making me smile and calm down more now.
"Thanks." I thank him, pulling away from the hug. "Of course." Cosmo smiles sweetly. "Here, let's go." Cosmo stands up, taking my hand as he leads me out of the restaurant and into my bedroom.
"You deserve a rest." Cosmo says, laying me down on my bed softly. "You'll be alright." Cosmo caresses my cheek gently to comfort me. "Thank you.. Again." I smile.
"No need to thank me. Just rest." Cosmo smiles back at me, pulling up my blankets over me. I started to feel myself getting sleepy, slowly closing my eyes.
"Goodnight."
