Y/N’s POV
The day started perfectly at the aquarium, where the world felt like a dreamland under the sea. Taehyung and I walked hand in hand, captivated by the vibrant marine life surrounding us. As we passed through a tunnel with sharks swimming overhead, I felt like I was in a different world, and Taehyung’s quiet admiration beside me made it even more special.
“Look at that one, Tae!” I pointed excitedly at a bright clownfish darting through anemones.
Taehyung chuckled softly, his eyes never leaving me. “I am looking,” he said, but his gaze wasn’t on the fish—it was on me. I felt my cheeks warm under his affectionate stare.
I nudged him playfully. “Stop staring, weirdo. Aren’t the fish beautiful?”
“They’re nothing compared to you,” he replied without missing a beat, his voice soft and sincere. He moved closer, wrapping his arm around my waist. I looked up at him, caught off guard by his gentle tone. Taehyung always had this way of turning simple moments into something so much more.
We wandered from tank to tank, capturing memories with my phone. I posed with the jellyfish, playfully mimicking their movements, while Taehyung snapped pictures, laughing at my antics. When we came to the touch pool, I hesitated before dipping my fingers in, feeling the strange texture of a starfish.
“Here, let me try,” Taehyung said, gently holding my hand and guiding it along the starfish’s surface. The small, simple touch sent a flutter through my chest.
“See? Not so scary,” he teased, grinning.
“Only because you’re here,” I admitted, smiling shyly. We took a few more pictures together, some serious, some silly, until Taehyung surprised me with a kiss on the cheek, just as the camera clicked.
“Now that’s my favorite,” he said, holding up the picture where I blushed at his sudden affection. I playfully smacked his arm, laughing as we continued to explore.
After the aquarium, we headed to the amusement park, a place filled with excited screams, flashing lights, and the irresistible smell of carnival food. Our first stop was the roller coaster, towering over us with its daunting loops and sharp drops.
Taehyung stared up at the ride, visibly nervous. “I’m not sure about this,” he admitted, rubbing the back of his neck.
I laughed, pulling him toward the line. “Come on, don’t be a chicken! It’ll be fun!”
Once seated, Taehyung’s grip on the safety bar tightened as we climbed the first hill. I turned to look at him, unable to suppress my giggles. “You look like you’re about to pass out,” I teased.
“Easy for you to say,” he muttered, his eyes shut tight. As we reached the peak and the coaster plummeted, Taehyung let out a high-pitched scream that was lost in the wind, and I laughed so hard, my sides hurt.
When the ride finally ended, Taehyung stumbled off, his face pale. “Never again,” he declared, trying to regain his cool demeanor. “You owe me for that.”
“Alright, I’ll make it up to you,” I promised, linking my arm with his. “How about we go on the carousel next?”
The carousel ride was much more his speed, and as we spun slowly on our horses, I caught him smiling at me, his earlier fear completely gone. After the rides, we played some carnival games, and Taehyung, determined to impress, won me a huge teddy bear at the shooting gallery.
“Here, this is yours,” he said, handing it over with a proud smile.
I hugged the bear tightly, feeling a warmth spread through me. “Thank you, Tae. You’re the best.”
