It's 3:47 AM, and I'm still awake. The city outside is silent, but inside, my mind races with the constant churn of thoughts. I've tried everything-meditation, music, drowning myself in work-but sleep remains a distant hope. The never-ending sketches, but it's not that which keeps me up; I'll finish the project ahead of schedule, like always. It's the Switzerland client. They're putting their trust in me, choosing my company over dozens of others for their resort project. The stakes are higher, and that's what gnaws at me, pushing me toward an impossible standard of perfection.
Perfection. The more it sounds good, the weight of it feels heavy on my shoulder sometimes. It's always been my obsession, my curse. Being the CEO of India's top Architect firm, a role model, and an inspiration for others, people fail to understand what a person goes through in the process. They just see the outcome; if it's good, they will respect you but when it is bad, they show you hell on this earth. I maintained this perfection only for one person for whom it was never enough and I, being stubborn, kept on proving him wrong. But, now I prove to myself how capable I am in everything. I don't really care what people think or do; I don't even bother to look at them. This is your life, and you have to fight for yourself with yourself. This is a game between you and you.
A sound of beep broke my thought, signaling the start of the conference call from the Switzerland clients. I straighten in my chair, the plans for the resort spread out before me. Receiving it, the client's voice crackles through the line, their words laced with the same urgency I feel, "Good evening Mr. Suryavanshi. The preliminary designs are impressive, but we need to discuss the layout in detail before we can move forward."
"Of course," I respond, my tone even, betraying none of the urgency I feel. "I've reviewed every aspect of the design. The resort's layout will maximize both functionality and aesthetic appeal, ensuring that each space serves its purpose without compromising the overall vision."
"That's exactly what we're looking for," the client replies. "But we're particularly concerned about the integration of the interior design elements. We need to be certain that everything aligns seamlessly with the architecture."
"You have my assurance," I say, the confidence in my voice unmistakable. "My team and I are coordinating closely with the interior designers to ensure a cohesive and sophisticated design. Every detail will reflect the resort's luxury and exclusivity. However, to finalize the layout, I'll need their presence here sooner than anticipated."
