Author's POV:

The soft glow of dawn barely pierced the morning fog as Taehyung made his way to the offices of The Republic Korea. The usually bustling newsroom was still quiet at this early hour, with only a handful of reporters catching up on late-night stories. Taehyung pushed open the heavy glass door. This was it. The beginning of the war he was willing to wage against Jungkook, the son of the current president.

He approached his desk in the corner of the newsroom. It was cluttered with papers, sticky notes, and an old coffee mug he hadn't bothered to clean for weeks. But today, none of that mattered. He had a mission now, and he was finally in control-at least for the moment.

Taehyung powered on his computer and pulled up the secure messaging app that Nyeon had set up for him. She had kept her word, digging into Jungkook's past with the kind of efficiency that came only from years in the business.

There was a new message from her waiting.

Nyeon: Found something interesting. Offshore accounts linked to one of Jungkook's shell companies. Sending you the details now. Be careful.

Taehyung's eyes widened as he clicked on the file. It was more than he had hoped for-bank transfers, suspicious investments, everything that could start the unraveling of Jungkook's carefully constructed public image. But he knew this was just the tip of the iceberg. He needed something bigger, something that would truly shock the public into seeing the man behind the charming façade.

But first, he needed to find a way to protect himself. Jungkook wasn't the type to sit back and watch as someone tried to expose him. And Taehyung was well aware that, by stepping into this arena, he had put a target on his back.

His thoughts were interrupted by a familiar voice behind him.

"Early start today?" Nyeon asked, leaning against the corner of his desk, her arms crossed. She looked exhausted but determined.

"Yeah, I need to stay ahead of him," Taehyung replied, minimizing the screen quickly. He trusted Nyeon, but he also knew that if anyone found out what they were doing, it would be dangerous for both of them.

Nyeon nodded, her expression softening. "I've done some more digging, but we need to do it carefully. He must know you're up to something."

"That's why we have to act fast," Taehyung said, lowering his voice. "I don't have much time before he figures out what I'm doing. Did you manage to get access to the hidden camera equipment?"

She handed him a small black case. "State-of-the-art, barely detectable. Use it wisely. You might not get a second chance."

Taehyung took the case with a grateful nod. "Thank you, Nyeon. I owe you."

"Just be careful," she muttered before walking away.

Meanwhile, at the luxurious presidential mansion, the atmosphere was anything but calm. Jungkook was pacing his study, his sharp suit a stark contrast to the early morning chaos around him. His team of advisors had gathered to discuss the upcoming election campaign, but his mind was elsewhere.

"Sir, the issue with the offshore accounts is under control," Namjoon reported, trying to ease Jungkook's rising frustration. "However, Taehyung's movements are becoming harder to track. He's using secure lines and is careful not to leave a digital trail."

Jungkook's lips curled. "Let him think he's clever. But make no mistake, Namjoon-I want him watched. Every step, every move. The moment he slips, I want to know."
