"Ready to see our new home?" Will said then, setting my bags in front of this over-sized house.

"No," I said numbly. "I liked my apartment better."

"You haven't even seen the inside," he said, amused, "be a little more open to things, Angel?"

He then opened the door, looking inside as it parted and gesturing for me to walk in.

I did, stepping in the room with reluctance as I glanced around.

Ugh...

Giant kitchen? Large living room? Excellent flooring?

UGH.

I hated perfection... especially knowing it came from a demon.

"Soooo... what do you think?" he said then, setting my bags down again.

"I hate it," I said angrily.

He just chuckled, closing the doors behind me. "You'll warm up to it."

I just made an impatient sound. "Where's my bedroom?"

"It's upstairs," he said then, "are you ready for bed?"

I just walked up the stairs immediately, and I felt him smile despite my rudeness.

"Is something wrong?" he said then, making me stop. "You've been acting all flustered and angry for a week now."

I remained in place for a moment, clenching and unclenching my fists. "It's nothing."

I was lying. I was always lying.

I was mad, but not at him. I was mad at everything. The situation, the world, the people... I was pissed.

"I think it's something," he said from the bottom of the staircase. "You know how I feel about lies, my princess."

I kept silent before changing the subject. "Which way is my room?"

"To the left," he said swiftly.

I started to the left then.

"It's about me caring for you, isn't it?" he said then, making me freeze.

"What... are you talking about?" I hissed.

I felt his demonic presence fill my senses, and I had to resist shivering.

I then glanced over, finding him standing beside me.

He just smiled, eyes glowing dangerously. "A week ago, you fell ill. I cared for you even though I'm going to kill you. Now you're feeling unsure. Is that right?"

I started forward. "I don't like being pampered."

He just caught my wrist and shoved me back, and I gasped when I clashed with his chest.
