Ryoma alongside his siblings had their sadness about Nagato's death and they hoped that Midoriki was not among the casualties in Nohr Kingdom, Xander, and his siblings heard the news about their father betraying Midoriki's diplomatic truce and this made them hide their hatred toward their father and they feel sad hoping that Midoriki is also is not among the casualties.
In the throne room, Lago whispers to King Garon that his army along with Anankos men who control the Hoshido army managed to wipe out the remaining Shinobi from Iga Province in the Hoshido territory. King Garon smirks and starts laughing knowing he's hungry for power and he also planning with his master to capture Midoriki alive as well as Corrin when the time is right.
*Somewhere on the Island*
Midoriki falls asleep and he's been bandaged off his wounds he has a nightmare seeing his villagers, shinobis, and his father being slaughtered by the mysterious hooded man and sees him with a smirk and says to him "You will find out who you are...boy" Midoriki suddenly woke up from his nightmare and looks down while sweating as he start feeling sad of losing his adoptive father and sees him being bandage.
After he looked at himself in the mirror, He started to wear his normal outfit in the Shinobi style and headed out of the small house and started following the road he took a deep breath and relaxed as he walked.
Midoriki: "Another day, Another work."

While he walking down the road, he sees the fortress and it's called Eagle Keep or Eagle Nest. It's a fortress home to the Assassins Order the combination of Nohr and Hoshido who didn't want to be involved in the war between Nohr and Hoshido.
Midoriki: "The Eagle Keep Fortress takes my breath away. I never seen anything like it before."
He said to him while he walked toward the Main gate of the fortress he saw Bastian who was waiting for him Bastian saw young Midoriki and smiled at him knowing the boy was still strong and survived the evil god attacks.
Bastian: "Ahh Midoriki my boy, You have finally awake."
Midoriki: "Sir Bastian? What are you doing here?"
