"Eeeeughhhh...."

Veronika's eyes slowly opened. This time, instead of seeing a land of white before her, she saw a familiar face. Smallfry!

She groggily hoisted herself up from the floor. "Smallfry... what happened? My head is aching..."

Smallfry ran around Veronika in circles. She looked around to see just where they were. It was some sort of prison cell. The bars were thick, making it impossible for anyone to slide through, even Smallfry or Veronika in squid form.

Behind Veronika was a long cargo crate. Ontop the crate, Marina and Diade laid on it, passed out. Pearl was sitting up against the wall, whilst Octavio was sitting opposite to her. They all looked a bit beat up, but it seemed like someone had tended to their wounds with bandages, including Veronika. She felt a bandage on her cheek. Seeing her friends jogged Veronika's memory.

"Oh carp... the crash!" She exclaimed. Veronika instantly knew what to do. She tapped her headset to call Agents 1 & 2.

Nothing.

"Huh? Is this thing outta power or something?" She asked herself. She tapped it a few more times, but still nothing.

"Don't tell me..."

Veronika took the headset off. Much to her dismay, it was broken. There was a large crack and multiple exposed wires were damaged beyond repair.

"Ugh, come on!"

Frustrated, Veronika threw the headset to the ground, only damaging it more. She was too upset to care.

The noise made Marina awaken. "Veronika...? What's going on?"

"MARINA!" Veronika exclaimed. She gave Marina a hug, which Marina graciously accepted.

"I remember... our crash! Where's Pearl?" Marina's eyes darted around the cell. She saw Pearl and rushed over. The commotion of Marina waking Pearl also caused Diade and Octavio to wake up.

"You're telling me I've been imprisoned again?!" Octavio said with anger. "At least you're alive... and not in a snow globe." Veronika's comment surprisingly managed to get a chuckle out of the giant octopus.

"Whatevs! Let's just call Callie and Marie. They'll know what to do." Pearl said. "Well... my headset broke, so someone else is gonna have to do it," Veronika responded, picking the gear up from off the ground.

"I'll give it a shot..." Diade started. He grabbed his phone from his pocket, which had developed numerous new cracks.

He hit the call button, a prompt that had appeared when he installed the chip, but was met with an ear-shattering alarm. Accompanied was a red screen with white text saying "SIGNAL BLOCKED."

"AUGH! TURN IT OFF!" Marina yelled. Everyone covered their ears as Diade spammed the power button before the terrible noise finally stopped.

"The signal is... blocked? What does that even mean?" Diade asked. "Someone may have purposely jammed our signal so we couldn't get help. Combined with those attacks... someone doesn't want us in the Splatundra." Octavio stated.

"Speaking of that, how do we know we're even there?" Veronika questioned, "We gotta bust out and see for ourselves."

"I have one idea..." Pearl began, "But it's from a movie."

"Do you mean the prison scene from Squid Girls 2?" Marina asked, excitedly. "Of course! Best action/comedy movie ever!"

"We just gotta all shove up against the bars. If we're lucky, our weights combined will collapse 'em and we can run for it."
