Me and Mandy decided to Uber to a bar downtown. We walked into one of those fancy bars that was owned by Eric Church.
The bar was slightly crowded and loud music was playing. Me and Mandy finally made our way to the bar after trying to fight through the crowd to get there.
"A martini please," Mandy says to the bartender.
"Same thing," I said.
"Sure thing ladies," the bartender says. "It's gon' be on the house."
"Thank you so much," Mandy says.
"Sure thing," the bartender says and winks while fixing our drinks.
While we waited I took a look around the bar. The bar had a lot of country artists on their walls and some football stuff as well.
"Heres the drinks," the bartender says handing our drinks over.
We tipped him a little five dollars and he smiled.
"You know there's a rooftop here, you ladies are more welcome to go to it," he says.
We nodded and he showed us how to get on the rooftop.
After that, we made our way to the rooftop. It was a few people on the rooftop. Not crowded thankfully.
"There's a bar up here you know," I told Mandy as she downed her margarita.
After a couple minutes, we started to get bored. I mean, the bar was boring itself until Mandy shook my arm violently.
"Dude that's Morgan Wallen," she whisper yells as she points to a tall guy with a mullet and his cap turned backwards.
"Your lying no it's not," I say.
And just like that the guy with the mullet and the cap turned backwards was Morgan Wallen.
I dropped my jaw because I haven't seen him in a long time. Especially not in person. He had on a gray shirt, some jeans, and he was tall as hell with muscles. I think I was drooling.
He was with a group of friends talking and looked a little heated.
"Can we go so hey?" Mandy whispers to me.
"No," I say scolding her a little.
She rolled her eyes and was nearly about to get out her seat.
Morgan was going off and whoever he was talking to. He turned around and his face softens when he sees me. I quickly looked away and cursed to myself.
Shit. Shit shit shit! I wish he didn't look over here.
"Well if it ain't Curly Sue," I heard Morgan's voice say.
I turned around to look at me and there he was, Morgan staring at me with that stupid grin on his face.
I saw Mandy at the corner of my eye staring at him. She was star struck.
"Hi Morgan," I said.
His face was a little red from yelling and was trying to calm down.
"Well how've you been?" He asks me.
"Good."
"That's nice. Your daddy said you got a job up here interviewing people, am I right?"
I nodded. I was uninterested in talking to Morgan anyways I didn't know why.
"Hi Morgan," Mandy squeals. "I'm your biggest fan. Like ever."
"Thank you!" Morgan says and grins.
"How long you staying in Tennessee?" Morgan asks.
"A while, I'm not going back to North Carolina."
"Well that sounds nice."
This conversation was just awkward. Very awkward.
"Well I have to get going, I'll see you around," Morgan says and walks off.
"Shit I should've asked for a picture," Mandy says. "Why don't you like talking to him?"
"I don't know it's just...awkward between us," I say. "I think he just got famous and we nearly dated and stuff."
"I mean you like him right?"
"What? No. I'm not even Morgan's type. I'm not blonde and have an orange tan."
"ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?" We heard someone yell across the bar.
The voice belonged to Morgan Wallen and I saw him pacing around the bar as people tried to calm him down.
"SHE GOT ENGAGED? SHE GOT FUCKING ENGAGED?" We heard him say over and over.
Me and Mandy got up to see what was happening up close.
"Morgan chill out man you know this shit is gonna get all over the internet," someone said.
Mandy was secretly recording the commotion that was going on.
Then it all happened. Morgan grabbed a chair and flung it off the balcony. My jaw dropped.
"Did he just fucking do that?" Mandy says in amazement.
"FUCK!" Morgan yells.
Morgan runs his fingers through his mullet in frustration.
We heard footsteps and keys jingling and it was no other than the cops.
"Who threw the damn chair?" One of the police officers asked.
"I did," Morgan confessed. "Did I hurt anyone?"
"Thank God you didn't. You threw it near our car though. We gon' have to take you in sir," the officer says.
They read Morgan his rights and handcuffed him.
"Hey officer," I said pulling an officer to the side. "When are yall able to post bail?"
"In a little while, we'll let you know," the officer says. "Hey ain you Jones's kid?"
I nodded and the officer smiled.
"Your dad a good man. We'll let you know when you can come get him," the officer says.
I gave him my information to contact me.
"Holy shit I can't believe that just happened," Mandy says jumping up and down.
"We're gon' have to write a story about this. People are gonna go wild."
