After 3 Months
Three months had passed since Jun and Asami began talking regularly, and in that time, they had grown incredibly close. They texted every day, shared about their lives, and often spoke on the phone when they were home. Sometimes, Asami would even video call him, and those were the moments when they felt most connected, both secretly wishing the distance between them could disappear.
During those months, they had learned almost everything about each other—favorite foods, childhood memories, their fears, dreams, and little quirks. Both of them felt a deep connection and had started to develop strong feelings for one another. But despite this, they were both scared to confess. Neither wanted to risk ruining the friendship they had built, and the fear of rejection loomed over their hearts.
The members of Seventeen had noticed how happy Jun had been over the past few months, and they all knew about his feelings for Asami. Whenever he had doubts about confessing, they encouraged him to go for it before it was too late.
“Come on, Jun, if you don’t tell her soon, someone else might,” Scoups teased one day during practice.
Joshua, having gone through something similar, chimed in, “Trust me, Jun. It’s better to say how you feel now than to regret not saying it later.”
Jun would nod and smile, but deep down, he still wasn’t sure if it was the right time.
On the other side of things, Asami’s friends had finally found out about her connection with Jun. It all started one afternoon when Ren saw a notification pop up on her phone. It was a message from Jun, with a heart emoji at the end. Ren's eyes widened dramatically, and before Asami could even explain, Ren had created a full-blown melodramatic scene in the cafe they were sitting in, clutching his chest like he was about to have a heart attack.
“You’re talking to Jun? As in, the Jun from Seventeen?!” Ren exclaimed, loud enough to turn a few heads in the cafe.
Asami’s other friends quickly gathered around, demanding details. Yuka was practically bouncing in her seat, while Haru tried to calm Ren down.
Once the initial shock had worn off, her friends began to encourage her.
“Ane, even if he’s an idol, that doesn’t mean you should step back,” Yuka said firmly, her eyes filled with determination.
Ren, still recovering from his dramatics, added, “Yeah, you can’t just back away because he’s famous. For him, you’re not a fan. You’re his friend... or maybe even more than that.”
Haru nodded in agreement, "If you really like him, don’t let the fear of what people might say stop you. You deserve to be happy, and he clearly makes you happy.”
Asami felt her heart race at their words. They were right. Jun wasn’t just an idol to her anymore—he was someone she had grown close to, someone who knew her better than most people did. And despite the fear and uncertainty, she couldn’t deny that her feelings for him had grown stronger with each passing day.
Both Jun and Asami were at a crossroads, each of them feeling the same way but unsure of how to move forward. Their friends had given them the push they needed, but now it was up to them to take that next step.

It was the day Seventeen had practice for their upcoming Japan Dome Tour. The group had been rehearsing non-stop, preparing for one of their biggest performances yet. During a much-needed break, the members scattered around the practice room, catching their breath and grabbing some water.
