The judge will be here in a few minutes " I lean back in my chair, swishing the glass of scotch in my hand, and watch Rohm standing at the far wall, staring daggers at me. She barely said anything after I announced to her that no matter what argument she thought she was having we were going to get married.

Her answer was a slap across my face that hurt my ego more than it physically hurt, since then she's been giving me the silent treatment.

With her arms crossed in front of her chest, she leans against the wall, looking at everything inside my home office, but me.

I can nearly hear the wheels in her head, turning as she thinks about how to find a way out of this, but there is none.

This was always supposed to happen and it will just under different circumstances than it was supposed to be.

"It's not too late to just forget about the whole thing".

"What?" I put my glass down on the desk and turned my gaze toward her until she finally looked back at me. "you're making a huge mistake you know that just as well as I do, I really appreciate you think you have to do this for me but... I mean you're under no obligation to help me even if you think you are." Her rambling stops when I get out of the chair and round my desk, walking towards her with my eyes pinpointed at her.

I can see the turmoil in her eyes when she speaks again "What if I agreed to borrow the money from you?"

"Oh, now you would?"

"I-yes I would"

"What a pity that the option isn't on the table anymore"

"So what other options are there?"

"None" she scoffs at me, shaking her head " it's not exactly an option if you aren't offering alternatives".

"It doesn't matter how it is going, It's happening anyway"

"This is insane. You are insane if you don't see -" After two steps I stand directly in front of her, placing her face in my hand, silencing her immediately.

Her big brown eyes stared into mine, I leaned down and brushed my lips against hers "Don't argue with me, baby".

"But.." I shake my head as the words die in her throat.

"I'm only going to say this once. This. Us. You and I. This was always supposed to happen no matter what happened between your family and mine. It's still going to happen."

"But-"

"No, buts, princess" A brief knock on the door, interrupts our talk.

"Who is it?" The door opens and Nikolai sticks his head inside the office."

"The judge just arrived. Are you ready or do you need another minute?" His eyes dart from Rohm to me.

"Send him in" When the door closes again, I look back at Rohm.

"You are going to say your vows just as I will say mine. And as soon as you're my wife we'll figure out everything else." To my surprise, no more objections were coming from her, and she simply nodded her head once.

"Good girl" I take a step back from her just as a door opens again and a man in his 70s walks inside. His brows raise as his gaze wanders from, Rome, to me and back to my bride.

"She's here willingly" I answer his question before he can even ask it. He nods but eyes Rome once more with suspicion in his eyes.

This isn't too surprising, given the pale discoloration on her face and the condition of her clothing, but this needs to happen and I decided that we can't wait until the men are finished picking up her stuff.

And the judge doesn't care if Rome is doing it in her own free will or by force. Judge Luther knows my family so well and gets paid too well to care.

"Very well then" he clears his throat.

"If you are ready, we can start" he directs his question at Rome. I stretch out my hand to her and pull her to my side when she puts her sweaty hand in mine.

During the ceremony, I keep my eyes on my bride the whole time she doesn't look happy, but at least she's behaving. In the end, I wasn't sure if she would try to bolt from the room instead of saying I do.

The words come across her lips as a whisper so quietly, they are hardly audible, and when I look into her eyes, I feel a pang of guilt.

Nothing about this wedding is happening the way it's supposed to. It hardly earned the term 'wedding'. It's a business transaction and from what kind of wedding Rome deserves.

"Well you are now married congratulations" the judge states flatly as he is already halfway gathering up his papers and leaving the room, leaving me and Rohm alone in my office.

I drop her hand and she turns to me as if she expects me to lean down and kiss her and that's what I do. I press my lips onto hers. My teeth scrape against her lower lip until she opens up for me.

My hand moves to her hair, fisting her long, curly strands between my fingers and pressing her even closer against me. A small sound escapes her throat.

A cry or a plea or a moan or a mixture of them all whatever it is, it increases my arousal in the urge to bend my newlywed wife over the desk and fuck her right here and now.

But there are a few things that need to be organized before I am going to enjoy my wife on our wedding night. My lips tingle when I let go of her, but my hand remains tight in her hair.

"Your apartment should be completely packed up by the afternoon. Do you want everything here or do you want some of it to go into storage?".

"Why? I mean - I don't necessarily have to move in with you" I let go of her hair and brushed it behind her shoulder.

"As I told you before this marriage isn't just on paper, your things will be brought here today. You can unpack them directly or wait until you're more settled. That's your choice."

She takes a long breath and holds it for a second before exhaling again

"You are crazy!!"

"I already told you - I'm not"

"Yes, yes, you are. Everything you are doing. You marrying me - that's just crazy."

"That's the easiest thing in my life I've ever done " She tears her eyes from my chest and looks up at me

"What?"

"I already told you - I was always going to marry you"

"But, why?" The confusion on her face looks genuine.

"Because I've always wanted you and now you are mine".
