"Isa," Jack spoke, wanting to get my attention. We were both sprawled out on opposite sofas in my house. I looked up from my phone, my gaze falling on him

"Yeah?" I ask, my attention now fully on him.

"Do you know this girl named..." he trailed off for a moment, looking back at his phone. "Emma Peters?" I took a moment, trying to recall if I had recognized the name but eventually came up blank.

"No, I don't think I recognize that name. How do you know her?"

"Apparently she's an actress. She followed me on all social media platforms and apparently she follows you on Instagram." I shrugged, still unsure of who she was.

"Did she text you or something?" I question, getting into a sitting position.

"Yeah, she seems pretty cool."

"Hm," is all I reply with, not really interested.

I was stuck in the car with my family. We were driving back home after a road trip. My brother, Sam, was being incessantly annoying. Constantly he was poking at my side or hogging the blanket, which, as a nice, sweet, selfless, caring, amazing, older sister, I let him share with me. Just typical annoying shit.

"Gonna park for some gas. You guys want any snacks inside?" My dad, Peter had asked. To be honest, I could really go for some beef jerky right now. Just as I was about to speak, Sam covered my mouth with his hand and made his voice louder.

"Izzy really wants licorice!" he exclaimed. Fucker. He knows I hate licorice. Luckily, so did my mom so she quickly waved his suggestion off.

"No, she doesn't. Get her some beef jerky, please, Peter," My mom replied. I sighed in relief and quickly slapped Sam's hand off of my mouth.

"Get your sweaty hand away from my lips, you swine." He just laughed and told my dad he wanted Doritos. My dad nodded and entered the gas station whilst my mom began filling up the car with gas.

Jack 👽

Hey, you know that girl Emma I told you

about? I just left the coffee shop with her ad

she said she'd really like to meet you. She

seems really sweet and cool.

I smiled at the message, honored that someone actually wanted to meet me. And since Jack spoke highly of her, she had to be cool. Jack was typically right about these things.

"Ooh, is that Jack?" Sam teased, attempting to take my phone. I quickly retreated my phone from his grasp just as my mom reentered the car.

"Knock it off, you two," she berated.

"It's his fault!" I explained but she didn't care.

"Just knock it off."

I rolled my eyes and unlocked my phone, texting Jack back.

Pretty girl 😊

Okay. Sounds great. Send me her Insta

Which he ended up doing. I'd just talk to her tomorrow. Once we get home I'm taking a shower and a long nap.
