❝I CAN'T HELP THIS AWFUL ENERGY❞

HALSEY, CONTROL

Waking up to a cold bed was exactly what Valentina was prepared for, at least, after she had settled down from her moment of panic. It wasn't her fault, not really. The last time she had woken up to a cold bed after a night full of passionately exhausting activities was the day Coriolanus was being shipped off to the Districts to live the next twenty years as a Peacekeeper. Thankfully that was not the case and he was home, there was no telling to the mess Valentina would still be to this day if he hadn't returned.

Her panicked state only lasted a few seconds, her brain waking up rather quickly to remind her consciousness that he was only with Dr. Gaul for whatever specific details the redhead couldn't remember for the life of her, only a vague memory of his internship and an assignment.

It didn't surprise her that he had private meetings with Dr. Gaul, she had her share of them with her higher status internship with the Doctor. Valentina would be more shocked if Festus and Coryo hadn't met privately with Dr. Gaul, that woman ran on the terror she created and her interns were her newest special mutts to fix her temporary boredom as they geared up for the eleventh Hunger Games.

With the morning to herself, Valentina promptly got ready for her day, opting for a comfortable yet equally fashionable pant suit recommend to her by none other than Tigris herself, the colour and tone immediately showcasing her beautiful ginger locks as she takes a final look at herself in the mirror, fixing her hair until she was happy with the way it hung in the ponytail she threw it up into before heading to the kitchen in hopes to spend her free time with the older Snow with an eye for style. "Morning, Val." Tigris spoke before yawning, sitting at the table in the kitchen with a slump.

"Morning," Valentina replied, picking up a few fruits before piling them into a bowl, having a fruit bowl salad for breakfast before sitting across from Tigris. With her focus fully on the older blonde Snow, Valentina noticed just how tired Tigris looked with eyes bagging paired with dark circles as she took a sip of coffee, a luxury the older Snow cousin hadn't had until lately, a happy thing she welcomed back into her life. "Not getting much sleep?"

Tigris gave out a small, half laugh, half pout at the instant recognition of her lack of sleep Valentina pointed out, the redhead offered a small smile in hopes for confirmation that it was not because of the late night endeavours she and Coriolanus had performed, a silent prayer they succeeded in being quite. "That obvious?" The Snow of warm blonde retorted, Valentina instantly grimacing on the inside while her expression remained sympathetic.

"Only a girl who cared would notice." Valentina offered sympathy while ignoring her organs, cringing at the thought of someone she considered a cousin hearing her have sex with her boyfriend... who was their biological cousin.

"I was out creating a new dress, the rush of inspiration hit from nowhere and I couldn't stop." The older woman admitted sheepishly, a sort of embarrassment for her craft taking control as she declares her midnight activities, an out of hours act committed by a crime of innovation. The sound of Tigris clearing her throat filled the room, her sitting up a little straighter in her tired, zombified state. "Then I ran into... an old acquaintance."

Her shaky voice filled Valentina's ears, the girl nodding in response before finishing the grape she had eaten prior. "You don't sound so sure of them?" The redhead pried, curiously wondering who this mysterious acquaintance Tigris once knew and their importance.
